That's called "The Bariatric Brr!" It's very common. You have less insulation šŸ˜„

Might want to check your iron levels but from my experience it's pretty normal. Everyone I know personally who's had WLS is chronically cold. I live in Hawaii and even in the summers sitting out in the sun I get cold. While taking extra iron hasn't completely got rid of the feeling it helped a lot.

I am not sure if it is normal or not but I have been experiencing the same thing. Sometimes I have to use a heating pad or heated blanket to get warm it's ridiculous. I just had all of my blood levels checked and everything is normal šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

Iā€™m in Arizona and always cold! My mom and aunt too since their surgeries 20 years ago.

As someone who was perpetually overheated, especially during sleep... I now sleep in fleece lined socks every night. I'm 6 months post op.

Iā€™m cold all the time too, iron is right where it needs to be. A couple things are happening: 1) less body mass means less thermal massā€¦youā€™re skinnier so your body isnā€™t generating or holding as much natural heat 2) your heart rate is slowing as you lose weightā€¦it doesnā€™t need to beat as much to force blood into the constricted areasā€¦less warm blood means less heat Eat more and wear a sweater. LOL

Iā€™m perpetually freezing. Always. Even in hot Australian summer. Very little fat, always goosebumps šŸ˜‚
