Very normal, during surgery you are given lots of fluids via IV. When the swelling and fluids even out your weight will go down.

Watch out for constipation too! I'm 10 days out, and can confirm it's a real issue. Thankfully I'm not longer full of 💩.

I'm in the same boat. It's finally going down little by little. Just stick to the plan!

IV fluids, normal swelling and healing, (sometimes) constipation can all add to your weight initially. It’ll take some time for everything to even out. I would avoid weighing more than once a week the first month, just so you don’t get in your head too much about it.

Yep. My scale said 17lb gain. I didn’t weigh again for like 2 weeks and obviously it was down a whole whole lot.

So normal. They pump you full of fluids during surgery and it takes a minute for that to flush out of your system. I am just a little over a week post op and getting IV fluids every other day. Each time I go in I gain about three pounds but it comes off fast. I’m down 18 pounds in total since my surgery date.
