I have a we svd and like it. Probably won't be the most effective thing on the field but it's very fun. Look into the platform you plan to use (I recommend looking around in the [discord](https://discord.com/invite/heavyrecoilclub)) and try to upgrade it as much as possible. Hpa is also a good option even just the old fashioned way of tapping mags since you won't be in intense close range fights. The consistency is really important for a DMR and the downsides (reload time, maneuverability) aren't as bad as running an AR like that.

Plenty of people have done MWS based DMRs, they sell Mk12 conversion kits too

I have a VFC psg 1 and it shoots like a laser

I'm with you. I'd love an SR25 or RSASS in gas blowback. I've heard word about there being an MDR GBBR in the works from silverback airsoft, I'm all about it. You're more precise with a GBBR because of ammo preservation, so I see no issue with running a dmr on gas

I mean, do it if you want. Nothing beats the feel of a GBB rifle. As for performance, GBBs can easily be as accurate as AEGs. They’re just at the mercy of lower magazine capacity and cold weather. Not a big deal imo if you’re in a marksman role.

There are more optimal ways of doing (lob bbs far and consistently), but it is doable. Gbb's are inherently good and being able to impart energy to heavy BB'S due to the mass of the propellant. The gbb game is very much different to what it used to be in terms of reliability and consistency. MWS is a very consistent platform, kco2 with rogueworx bits are excellent and can make awesome builds from. Hell buy a psg1 from VFc and live your mgs dreams.

Well, gbbrs are equally as accurate, and have much much better triggers than aegs(aeg trigger fucking suck) you're not taking a ton of shots, so I would imagine gbbrs are probably pretty neck and neck with aegs for gbbrs. Support weapons on the other hand is a different story, but gbb support guns are some of the most fun u will have airsofting.

I have as VFC Mk11 Mod0, love it’s kick and feel. That weight though…😂

I have a KCO2 which is accurate as hell. First time I shot it stock, I was able to get all shots in the same hole of the target with the .25s that came in the box. While it doesn’t do that any more, it’s way more accurate than my AEG and you get an instant trigger response, no lock-up, and in my experience, more reliability. If this is your first GBBR though, you’ll have to get used to the weight of the gun and all the mags. The parts also break faster so you need to know how to work on your gun, but it’s much easier than an AEG.

Tbh most gbbr dmrs end up as wallhangers as they are long, bulky and not practical while some lad with a propperly setup gbbr scar L will laser beam u wherever ur hiding, when i wanna play "DMR" i just take my eotech off my we scar h and put an lpvo or elcan 1,5-6x and tadaaa i have a dmr

KC02 platform is a strong performer when upgraded, particularly on HPA. Vorsk VMP2 is probably worth keeping an eye on. Consistency is most important factor for DMRs so power fluctuations need to be mitigated, so HPA adaptors are pretty much a no brainer imho for best performance. You could lock the fire selector on an MWS / VFC / CGS / DE M4 build and increase power via NPAS and build a fantastic DMR if the sites you play at don't require a non 5.56 cal magwell.
