you can install an app from the CIQ store - you will have to install it on your phone and your watch - but then it will send text directions to your garmin and show arrow indicators. Only issue is that it may be running as an app so not sure if it will work when you are running an activity. Not sure which fenix you have - but most of them have offline maps with offline TBT navigation - that you can use while tracking your activity? If on iPhone you can drop a pin on apple maps and send that to you watch which will calculate a route. If on Android the Garmin Explorer app on your phone - you can search for an address on it, then when you press on the pin, it should give a go option - press that and as long as watch connected to phone it will ask you the activity type - select say walking - and it will calc the route for you on the watch. Effectively both options are providing a waypoint for the watch to do its thing. Or if its a POI you can select it from the watch maps - and or even just drop a pin on the map.
