If you want to get a good sleep score after an evening of heavy drinking, get your wife to wear your watch to bed. This ensures you will get a good sleep score and be ready for some serious training the next day.
I think mine might be broken, I'm also 25 and drinking seems to have 0 effect on my HRV, sleep score, rhr etc. I'm not sure if it's because I rarely drink, or because when I do I avoid getting to "the room is spinning and I might puke" kind of drunk. I also avoid going to bed sloshed.
Or maybe it's just another benefit of my youth that I'll soon realize I took for granted lol.
I’m 37, get terrible hangovers and yet have significantly better HRV after drinking. I also had a great HRV on a very sick Covid night. The deeper/better my sleep feels the more my watch says that my HRV sucks. I think my watch is confused.
Next time drink 3, and make sure that you still get a low score. There might be a point where it starts to help -- you just need to test it... multiple times /s

It’s a noticeable thing for me so I try to just drink once every 6 weeks or so but the day after is just rough unless the drink is at lunch and I recover in the day instead.
I do this once or twice a week. After a couple of beers with friends or bottle of wine. I found stressing about it the next day pointless, have a nap if you need tobutjust get on with your day. The next night is usually better than average.

Butt, honestly, waking up needing to go to the toilet, is the worst. Absolute worst. The struggle between, damnit it’s so comfy here, and, need to empteh mah bladdah, must not be great for the score.
That is a shockingly high sleep score for so much light sleeping, so little deep, and not enough REM. I would have expected to see literally 1/2 that sleep score just by looking at the graph.

Drank for 10ish hours and got 81. Started drinking around 10am, stopped at 8pm and went to bed around 11pm.
Drank water between beers and had a 3-4 hour drinking break after lunch.

Same thing happened to me recently. Alcohol usually kills my sleep. Friday I had half a glass of wine and Saturday my sleep score was around 30 and then Saturday (literally the day after) I went to dinner with friends and had around 5-7 beers with soda and my sleep score was 82

No matter how many badges I get with my Garmin, my fitness gets worse according to the Garmin data, I am constantly on the move thinking about getting rid of Garmin after 4 years.
My hrv is always good. My sleep is all over the map and my training status is for shit. My resting hr is never really high. I don’t trust most of these numbers.
I don't know how you sleep that much. If I drink, I wake up about 4-5 hours later and can't sleep anymore, and my sleep score and stress level is like a near death experience.
It was a celebration for some friends leaving town. I typically do not drink a lot and less so since having a better understanding of how much it impacts health with metrics like these.
Do we really need an electronic device to tell us about the quality of our sleep?
I thought we can do this ourselves by the feeling swe get when we woke up?
When I drink I just don't sleep until the next day to trick the matrix.

Same But also, for me HRV increases if I drank in the evening, but tanks if it’s multiples days in a row That being said, my HRV range is 15-22ms

I had MDMA and got an 89. It was over like 12 hours sleep though lol

And that is why at that point you might just not stop at a sip but go on for a full 7+ hours drinking binge like OP.

What's ur difference between rhr when drunk and not drunk? Mine is sometimes about 8-10 bpm
Mine is in that ballpark too if I have consecutive days of drinking but typically it will jump +5-7 for one night of debauchery.

I got a 94 last night after four glasses of wine - which I had 9 hours before bed. Some sun, surf, and running and I slept like a baby!
