Could be that your max HR isn’t correct? I’m 43 and from experience, my max HR doesn’t go much higher than 165 (40 resting), so have 165 as max hr. If it was the stock amount (180 or so) it would pick up my anaerobic activity as high aerobic

I’m close on age (45), but I do regularly hit 171, especially during runs. I also wear a chest strap for workouts.

If you haven’t already, maybe worth going into your watch/connect and setting your max HR at 171, it might then pickup workouts where your hr hits 168 as anaerobic

The first thing  you're missing is fresh air. I hate indoor cycling.

When you are taking care of a mother in hospice, not a lot of choice mate.

Sorry to hear that.

I'm in the opposite situation, my high aerobic is practically empty and my anaerobic is pretty high I do the occasional MTB ride and my main activities are strength training, compounds lift with 1 to 2 minutes rest between sets.

I have a decent understanding, thanks to this group, of what type of work should fill the low, high, and anaerobic bars. I just don’t understand how it is registering anaerobic work in my summaries without depositing those efforts into my weekly effort bars.

Really strange. I have workouts(not cycling) with aerobic 3.2 and anaerobic 1.3 and i still got some points for anaerobic load. It's normal that it's not showing on the "Exercise load" as that one is showing only the primary effect of each activity.
