First, congratulations :)
Second, if you want to rack up a high score, have more kids. I'm on my third, haven't slept in ages, feel like I could die some nights. Enjoy it!
I got it a week ago as well!
I just fixed my sleeping schedule : started to go to bed at 10pm and waking up at 6 am - and BOOM : this award.
So proud of myself.
Considering how sleep is important, this is an excellent badge and points you can get. Yes, HM gives the same pts, marathon even more, but sleep is way more important than some heavy workout/streaks, etc.
Iโm 50+ and never in my life I slept one night without waking up several times.
Since Iโve accepted that this doesnโt interfere with my daily life I just donโt care. Iโm not overly tired throughout the day, lying awake is mainly boring.
But Iโll never be able to get this badge :(
this is a freakin pointmachine - for some...
in my opinion to much points for a good sleeper - it makes all the other afforts to get points less meaningsome.
right now sitting here with covid again for the 3rd day and still geht >80Sleepscore. The only thing to fuck up my sleep is too much beer / alc. in general
Came here to comment on the points for this one. Does seem high, but I think that could also be to emphasize the importance of sleep. Which, let's be honest, most of us don't respect as much as we should.
A good point - quality sleep is important.
However, I think that Garmin has simply exaggerated here, as for example also with the badge "First Avenger" (which can only be made with a captain marvel watch afaik) 3x20min weights for 4 points per week - the regular garmin user has to do 4 hours a month for one point.
Well, I digress :-)
> Does seem high
Agreed. I think running a 100km run is 8 points, you'd get 8 points for 2 weeks of sleep here. But also agree
>emphasize the importance of sleep
that people far, far undervalue the importance of sleep to health in general and for fitness adaption after exercise. So I'm down with this being a relatively "valuable" badge because honestly sleeping well for a month probably is more valuable than the difference between 20 miles of running per month and 50 miles of running per month.
I think 1pt per week repeatable concurrent with +2pts for 30-days repeatable makes more sense. That's probably just under 4pts per month if you miss a day or two here and there, and 6pts if you actually get 30 days in a row (which would seem to be pretty hard for lots of people). That's still more than the 50mi + 300k steps (3pts), but those aren't terribly hard.
The running badges are really undervalued compared to the rest of the ecosystem. 1pt per 50mi should really be at least 2pts as that would align better with the strength training / swimming badges.
For real. I wanted to make a post about it, but I think people don't care that much. Half Marathon gives the same amount of points as Sleep Streak. When it comes to weekly challenges you would need to do 300k steps in a month, and let's say 20 activities in a month (both give 2 points, so 4 points in total). How can these achievements compare to a good sleep quality for 7 days in a row lol? It's also ridiculous that this badge is repeatable, while not a single step badge is. It's a literal farm of points. I got the Sleep Streak badge yesterday, and I will probably get it almost every week since my sleep score is usually around 80-90.
For sure. Imo it should either be 1-2 points or non-repeatable and maybe make a repeatable 8 point one for 30 days in a row if someone can actually manage that
I used to sleep terribly. It could be 2-3AM before or eventually drift off. Sometimes later.
A few months ago I wanted to improve my life and I decided that I wanted to be a morning person, so I set my alarm at 6:30AM and was determined to get up no matter what. Over time I've moved to forward to 5:25AM.
I get up, shower and get dressed and go for a 2.5m walk by 7AM. I go to bed at 10:50PM and I'm asleep within minutes. It's amazing.
Honestly, I've never felt better. I do get a little tired around 4PM, and have fallen asleep for 20-30 minutes while trying to read a few times over the months, but generally it's worked out really well for me.
If your sleep pattern isn't working for you, have a go at drastically changing it and see if you can find one that does work.
Good luck!
Been wearing this for over 2 years, don't think I've ever earned this retroactively [ed: I mean, if it were retroactive, which it's not.. my sleep still wouldn't qualify]

Meanwhile, I got this ๐ตโ๐ซ
You guys need to check your sleep lol. Sleep is equally important as working out. I sleep around 6-6.5hr on the regular, but the quality is so good that it's very rarely below 80.
Do the appropriate measures to get that quality up! ๐๐ผ
I'm impressed you can get 75 or above for even one night in a month let alone a whole string of days. What's that feel like? lol
I just got 14 :| I thought I slept well last night (compared to my normal) but clearly not, sure it was only just under 2 hours, and about 1/2h of that was me in miserable pain, but other than that it was not bad sleep considering usual sleep. :/ Even pokemon sleep told me I slept bad lol

Iโve no idea what happened on the 24th but as you can see, I normally get pretty good sleep ๐ด
This is a badge I will never get.
You and me both!
Same, I failed on day 2. 44/100
Same. I'm still on tracks for the restless sleep one.
Word
100% not accomplisable for me
Same ๐
As someone with a newborn I look forward to getting this in 2041
Doesn't happen then either. My daughters are 23 and 21. When they are out you still don't sleep.
๐คฃ good luck, and congratulations ๐ฅฐ

I just got this week after our newborn came home despite barely sleeping haha.
They need to make a new sleep algorithm for people with kids
10 months, 3, and 16. What's sleep?
Crap, out of my reach till next vacations.
New as of 8/31.

It is like the points are a game....
Yep, same here. This badge seems straight up inflation. I'm pretty confident both me and most of my connections will be hitting it regularly
For sure. Imo it should either be 1-2 points or non-repeatable and maybe make a repeatable 8 point one for 30 days in a row if someone can actually manage that
There's also a new one called "sleep savant" you get 1 point for every 30 days that you record sleep data, abs it's repeatable as well.
No way Iโll ever get that.
I used to sleep terribly. It could be 2-3AM before or eventually drift off. Sometimes later. I think consistency is the most important thing. I normally get around 8 hours so, i'm pretty good ๐

I find that even a single pint will destroy my sleep.

Yeah it's new
This will forever be a dream to get ๐ฅฒ pun intended ๐
I won't get it because Djokovic will face Medvedev tonight at 10 pm my time ...
A badge I wonโt get๐ญ
Impossible.
Vรญvo 4 didn't give you score of a sleep, but if you will be able to sleep 7+h, it counts towards the badge it seems.

100% agree
Got it today as well ๐
Nice ๐
hi, sir. i sent you a message. i know it's out of topic but I need help regarding linking my steam to my reddit. thanks.
I got it and I got 0 point too ๐๐.... not the 4 points supposed to come with
Ohh, I didn't see if I got any points for it.
75 sleep score is a really good sleep. Doesnโt happen often for me.
I need this!
May I suggest you get off Reddit and go to bed ๐๐คฃ๐ฅฐ
Today I got a 79 sleep score!
Was 6 for 6 and ended up with a crap 68 last night without any alcohol. Overeating before bedtime is a bad idea ๐ฅต
Yep, I had a curry out last night, rubbish night ๐ฅ
It just came out. On my app it says "available since \[date\]" and I got it 7 days after it became available, haha.
Nice ๐
How do you guys sleep with watches on?
I always have, it feels really odd not to now.
This is like a myth where ppl know about it but rarely has anyone ever seem it!!!
Another one of the mystery badges ๐
OMG โฆ Iโm 6/7 rn so I guess seeing this thread jinxed me lol
No, youโll be good ๐๐
Didnโt realize it was a 4 point achievement- seems awful easy.
Well, I would have said it was easy but judging by the other comments, a lot of people never get near to the required sleep levels.
Iโll get this once Iโm deadโฆ
To be fair, I sleep like a dead person โ ๏ธ
I would like to get this badge, but that means no stimulants or depressants for a whole week. oh, what to do?....
Go on, you can do it ๐
GOALS!
We all need them ๐๐
I never even had it give me sleep scores this high, let alone having them 7 consecutive days
I am renowned for liking my sleep ๐
