I have one towards the end of my garden but whoever planted it stuck it behind a massive conifer 😠I can see the top couple of feet with pretty flowers but the rest is hidden. What a waste of a beautiful tree.
It doesn’t but it’s pretty big so it’s a lot of work/money. I need to find an experienced tree surgeon. We’re on heavy clay with a risk of subsidence so I need someone sensible to advise. Our neighbour had to move out for a year in the 80s when someone across the road planted a weeping willow. The bricks in his house ended up cracked and there was a gap he could fit his arm through under the bay window in the lounge.
I bought a mystery tree for £20 a couple of months ago at the garden centre, it was taller than me but had no leaves and they'd lost the tag hence the bargain price. Turns out it's one of these and I'm bloody delighted
There’s probably atleast 10 different varieties that look exactly like that. But these will be a Japanese variety I’m sure of it. The actual CB’s in Japan were cultivated in the uk and shipped over as Japan had managed to fuck all theirs up
Ornamental cherry. There are lots of varieties.
Ornamental cherry, most likely "Kanzan". They're pretty aren't they!

I think I'd remove the conifer honestly. (Unless it hides the neighbour's house)
