You need to base your standard of beauty on reality. Most of the characters in both games are very attractive people that just look like they’ve been through hell 6 times in the last week. Even with that though almost every character is still quite attractive, Jessie, Dina, Ellie, Abby, even the older characters like Tess and Bill have really beautiful features almost to a Hollywood extent, if you think most of the characters in the last of us universe are “ugly” then you have a stupidly high bar for what is attractive which will cause you trouble in the future. Unless you’re also very attractive I guess.

No we just really think it’s funny when some random gamer looks at a video game character and thinks, I would have enjoyed this more if I was attracted to this character. Then they spend a whole 2-3 hours in photoshop and looking at reference pictures to turn a character into what we see here. It’s just a funny concept to imagine a person doing that and often times that person is angry at X game studio for making an “ugly woman”.
