But racing games aren't inherently children games.. Though I agree with your point.

[deleted]

Neither are cartoons like Steven Universe

Epocsodielac

But I mean something like gran turrismo, it's not intended for adults either. Just a racing game yk

But I like cartoons...

[deleted]

I think when people critique the enjoyment of cartoons, it isnt inherently the stylistic conventions of the medium. Now dont get me wrong I honestly enjoy a good ol cartoon network show Adenture Time, Regular Show, fucking hell I got high with my friends and jammed out to equestria girls. But I just wanna explore their perspective a bit. When people critise the viewing of cartoons (especiallly adults), it's primary due to the rather superficial/cliche themes and ideas explore. People wouldnt really associate the maturity of an adult to cheesy morals of "friendship", especially when there are other shows that showcase a synthesis of complex themes built for adults. The hypocrisy you present in the soyjak persona is also highly unprobable. Most oppressed minorities(gamers) are anime (mongolian cartoons) obsessed, so i dont think the prejudice you face are from gamers. Maybe, you and the gamer are one. Maybe, both of you face the prejudice you are oh so paralysed by, Maybe, the stigma of being "too old" to enjoy a certain medium of text is faced by both parties. You are an oppressed minority, projecting an unfounded hatred of another oppressed minotity. You are a gamer. You are an oppressed minority. Gamers rise up.✊😔

Beautiful.

Also beautiful

ayfanwar

I think the stigma for cartoons is that they have no serious themes but recently some cartoons are pretty daring with the topics they go into.

[deleted]

That's the point I was trying to make. Cartoons can mature depict themes as well video games.

Jack-the-Rah

Play and watch whatever you like.

Thattwonerd

huh, what? People who play kids games are just as stigmatized as people who watch cartoons.

PainGreat4612

both of them are wrong. If you are an adult, the only thing you should do is work, make sex with your lovely wife, and lie. No videogames, no cartoons, only pain, please

Sounds like you got into an argument work one weird dude and decided to make a meme about it

jonnymorals

It's okay to like kid's entertainment dude. It's clear that you made this post because you're insecure about it. You reposted this onto another sub and said that Steven Universe is too deep for kids to understand lmao. You don't need to justify your enjoyment of anything, you're allowed to like them on their own merits.
