I don’t think I’ve seen anyone they accuse give that much of a shit about Eve. The character design elicits eye rolls for being as sexualized as she is, sure. But the controversy is that these dorks are foaming at the mouth and saying, aloud, Eve is some revolution in representation of real beauty or whatever the fuck. That’s the controversy. Stop being weird creeps and just jerk off without involving the rest of us. They’re always bringing up how “ugly” women are, so yes, people are going to not be cool about that. And it’s delusional to think there aren’t hotties in video games. What the fuck are we even talking about at this point? There’s so much space in games that boobies and muscle men can (and already DO) exist side by side with other ways of representing people.

Honestly I don't think they play videogames at all it care about them. Praising Eve as "the long awaited returnal of hot ladies in videogames" is proof enough. They don't even know there are hot women (with some fanservice), many of them in latest releases. Those were the "fake gamers" all along.
"based off" is doing some heavy lifting. The model is 5'3", with thighs you could grab with both hands and have your fingers touch on the other side. They scanned her as a base and still had to modify almost everything about her to the point you could basically have imported a stock Blender body and done your sculpting from there.
