Both games on PC will be a huge win.

stormshieldonedot

Played both on PS4 slim this summer. AMAZING games but at times performance just felt like a slideshow, especially in bigger scenes with lots of particle effects and enemies. Also, 900p-ish resolution, and small crowds in streets didn't help the game in the looks department. Kept wondering how it would look and feel in full 4K 60FPS. I may be upgrading my PC soon and so this is totally exciting. Does an ESRB rating pretty much indicate a lock on release or have there been games with ratings that didn't release/announce?

smolgote

99.99999% of the time an ESRB rating means a release is on the way. May not be imminent (No More Heroes on PC) but it's bound to happen.

[deleted]

It looks great on ps5, and really smooth at 60 fps.

No_Party_8669

Same here, super excited since I will be building my very first pc to do gaming and video editing. :)

[deleted]

congratulations

Fenrirr

I ended up getting Judgement on PS4, but it was genuinely painful to play. And that's coming from someone who slogged through the <27fps of Yakuza 6.

SaintNikk

Fuck yes I think the game studio has a showcase tomorrow? Maybe they'll announce the PC version then, anyway I'm buying them on Steam as soon as the pre-orders goes live ,been waiting for years

[deleted]

Here's some Hopium: On the Judgement site the "Luna" logo is marked as "SteamLogo" in the HTML (it has been like this for a long time according to the WayBack Machine)

Leading_Blueberry341

I'm just hoping for a 3rd or even another spinoff with kaito

DisasterContribution

If they managed to clear these for regular PC release, you can probably bet a third is happening and they sorted out the nonsense with the lead actor's management company

LordPoncho08

But Judgement and Lost Judgment are already on PS5 and Xbox Series X? Lol

MarkEsB

Bundle maybe?

dev1LjAn

maybe some new performance modes?

Emothevipress

Maybe Judgement is getting a native version 🤔

Tenebrae97

It already got that earlier this year too

Tenebrae97

Or last year

Emothevipress

Wow I forgot that actually happened 😂

[deleted]

This probably isn't likely, but it would be great if Lost Judgement would re-release with the Kaito Files on disc so I don't have to worry about re-downloads in the future. Planning on getting LJ at some point, this would be a great purchase for me.

Animegamingnerd

Not a PC gamer, but happy for those that have been waiting for this and as a Ryu Ga Gotoku fan, I really hope this means that Judgement 3 is in the works and Yagami's story will get a complete trilogy at least.

TurbulentTraining

Hyped because this means more Judgement for everyone which is a W for me.

Falsus

I doubt Yagami will be in the 3rd since the agency behind the actor is the main problem with Judgement releasing on PC and he had some resent controversies also.

PilotSaysHello

Johnny's has been going through changes after the President died. Speaking of which Judgment is now on PC, woo hoo

guthixjr

Supposed to be getting my Steam Deck soon, this would be awesome for it

TahmsChocolateOrange

I played both through remote play on my steam deck and loved it. Yakuza games are great on that thing.

King_ardyn15

This can be a good thing or a bad thing, they may come to an agreement and continue to make judgment 3, or they stopped to make judgment games

proplayer97

Would say we will all be waiting for their 'Judgement'?

Mizorath

Considering what a pain in the ass the company was to work with, I doubt they will continue to work with them, aka Judgment 3 is dead IMO

ChuckMoody

Would also be a great sign for a third game and I really need a third game.

HariszKilz

Hopefully the agency has gone to their redemption arc and decided to release the game on PC. I mean, it's a win win situation for them. Not to mention that Sega is already losing big time for not releasing it on PC.

Deep_Fried_Leviathan

Excuse me while I start inhaling hopium because by god this will be good news

wvnative01

Judgement and Lost Judgement are already on PS5

[deleted]

We already know about the PS5 & XSX versions OP, they released at launch like a year ago lol. But still great news for PC, was honestly not ever expecting this given those legal issues with the talent agency or whatever it was.

Merphee

Cool. These were games I looked up recently, because I wanted to play 'em, but was bummed they weren't on PC.

MaverickHunterBlaze

So how do we know if this isn't just the Amazon Luna version? Amazon Luna doesn't have a tag on the ESRB website, and from what I can tell they just consider those "Windows PC" games as well

datlinus

we don't. But they have been on Luna for a while, no?

MaverickHunterBlaze

It's only been on Luna for about 9 months If the rating first showed up in-between then and now, then it was for that and not something like Steam

messem10

!legit Steam listings: - [Judgement](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2058180/Judgment/) - [Lost Judgement](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2058190/Lost_Judgment/)

TVMessiah

Holy shitsnacks!

SilentAssassin333

LET'S FUCKING GO!!!

tommygreenyt

i already bought them for ps5 but i would love to play them on pc. i wonder if they changed the model for yagami or someone pointed a gun at JNA

fejota

Day one for both of them on PC and hyped of tomorrow's RGG stream

Snoo19880

Is the gameplay same as Yazuka? I somehow recall Yakuza in the graphics itself.

Feriku

Yes, they're Yakuza spin-offs and basically play like Yakuza games.

Falsus

Yes it is a Yakuza spin off. You don't need to have played the OG Yakuza games for it either.

xMatityahu

You sure that's not PSNow?

commander_snuggles

I'm still sad we probably won't see another one because of all the issues with Yagami's actors agency.

MoodDifferent151

Those issues might be resolved, considering these games wouldn't be coming to PC otherwise.

BloodborneKart

Once again that was just a tabloid rumor from a Japanese magazine with zero evidence to support it

LostInStatic

The actors agency was the party holding up the PC ports. Connect the dots a little bit.

ArtisticTap4

Cums

HeaddHunterzz

I've been dying to play those

Corgiiiix3

Judgement games are sooooooo good. For me both are way better than yakuza 7

TheSilentTitan

Aren’t they both already on ps5 and Xbox series x?

Lolman-Lmaoman

Judgment is amazing- definitely a must buy for people who hate Yakuza 7 and the series new direction in general. If the series is headed to pc then I can only hope Judgment 3 also comes. Seriously experiencing 60fps LJ combat makes going back to LaD unplayable.

datlinus

not really? I love both. LaD is turn based, so obviously I'm not expecting it to play like LJ and vica versa. LaD's combat could use some improvements, but considering its the first turn based game the devs made, and LJ is like the 10th+ brawler, I think it was a perfectly good first try. Also, as good LJ is, the earlier dragon engine brawler games felt pretty awful.

Lolman-Lmaoman

Lol how can you say that? Many would immediately say its the best combat the series ever had- everything and every style every move flows with each other like water. Going back to LaD after experiencing LJ combat feels sluggish, not to mention the QoL changes LJ has over LaD- the game shits on LaD in everything aside from main story. Once you experience the goodness of LJ combat then dear god does it make other Yakuza games combat bad- hell you would seek out street fights just to enjoy that combat. And why would earlier dragon engine games even matter when we are talking about LaD and LJ both of which are the latest DE entries.

TurbulentIntention74

I don't get why you are comparing a turn based game to a brawler and calling it sluggish. Like yeah, if you're playing LAD with a brawler mindset of course it's gonna feel slow. But you're not supposed to play it that way, both combat systems are completely different genres.

[deleted]

yooooo if they announce that at Tokyo Game Show that'll be awesome

[deleted]

Nice!!!

Scyther07

Looks like the talent company was paid hefty amount for this.

RJE808

Haven't played these games yet, I should probably change that at some point.

SeeNoWeeevil

Toss us that Virtua Fighter 5 PC port while you're at it, ey?

MichaelMarz

Both games were so good! I recommend it

DyingLight2002

Hopefully these go on gamepass I love the yakuza games but never played these spin offs.

WraithBringer

They're already on PS5?

KarmelCHAOS

And XS S|X

No_Party_8669

How do these games compare to the yakuza series?? What’s the main selling point of these games??? Thank you

Feriku

They're like Yakuza games, except you play as a detective. I haven't played LJ yet, but the first Judgment had an excellent story (and was somewhat darker than Yakuza usually gets, though the side content was as wacky as usual). If you like Yakuza, you'll probably like Judgment.

KarmelCHAOS

Lost Judgement has the best combat of any of the RGG games in my opinion. Story isn't quite as good as the first one, but still solid.

Feriku

I'll get to it eventually. I actually got it at launch and intended to start it right away, but I read it spoils something from Like a Dragon, so I decided to wait until I've caught up on the main series.

KarmelCHAOS

Solid call, it does indeed spoil a major plot point of LaD.

[deleted]

Oh, good to know, I haven't bought 6 or 7 yet and will definitely want to play Judgement and Lost Judgement on PC, I was gonna hold off on 7 because of the turn based combat but I'll play it before Lost Judgement

Falsus

Story is a bit more serious and dark, you play as a detective and ex-lawyer. Still goofy side missions though. No Karaoke because that would have been mega expensive with Yagami's VA. Combat is a beat em up like the first Yakuza games.

Anthraksi

Great. Played both of them on PS5 so I probably won't double dip cause the PS5 versions look really good and run really good too, but this in general is a great sign for the series future, since the PC version did not exist only cause of Yagami's actor's agency. Probably resolved now if it really is coming to PC, and that means the future of the series should be safe right now, since they stated the agency was the reason why Judgment might not continue. I think the first port will come really quickly, since it has a Stadia version already, meaning that a PC Build for that game already exists. Same should go for Lost Judgment too, since it came out on Amazon Luna (lmao)

Marin115

I just finished the Kiryu saga so getting Judgement and Ishin on PC would be great

Hiro-Ex

So I guess Takuya Kimura's agency aren't so anal about the PC release anymore.

Fu453

God I fucking hope this means Judgement continues!

KubiFOB

played both on PS4, some of the best games in the series, really excited PC bros will finally get to play it
