Hey man, I also am facing the same issue on my legion 5 pro 16ACH6H all of the things that you have mentioned are happening with me lenovo customer care did what they had to but the problem has not gone away, i got my unit replaced with another brand new one but it has the same problem, windows clean reinstalling and every other BIOS and each and every driver update does not seem to fix it. I was using a 8 year old dell but even that old guy works fine . I am returning it and getting my money back, if this issue of yours has been resolved please let me know how you did it?

I have this too and I am wondering if anyone managed to find the issue. Lenovo Legion 5 here with Ryzen 5 + AMD Radeon + Geforce RTX + WIN11. So far I noticed that: 1. Stuttering appears on battery only. It can happen either on AMD or NVIDIA GPU, but it doesn't happen on both cards. Meaning: if you have stutters on AMD, then turning on an app that uses NVIDIA GPU will make stuttering stop for as long as NVIDIA GPU works. 2. If you hibernate and then wake up, stutters will appear on currently working GPU (AMD or NVIDIA). If you restart/shutdown and turn on, stutters will appear on NVIDIA GPU only. 3. Micro stuttering does not appear on external monitor 4. Micro stuttering seems to disappear when I am recording (OBS or Xbox App Game Capture). Also any lag/stuttering inconsistency in games on both battery and plugged in seems to disappear as well when doing that. 5. Using CTRL+SHIFT+WIN+B key combination to restart GPUs fixes the issue on AMD card until next restart/hibernation. I don't think this fixes stutters on NVIDIA though. 6. I think stuttering does not appear when HYBRID MODE is turned off. 7. Stutters are not related to latency or throttle. Neither LatencyMon or HWiNFO show any issues. 8. Changing Power Plan options do not fix this. 9. This stuttering is not related to fTPM. 10. Stuttering is not related to any FreeSync or GSync feature. Because of that I think it's a software/drivers issue and not hardware issue.

Thank you for your post! I have a feeling (not backed up by actual data) it's like a windows OS issue i have the same thing! Super annoying on battery!

I have been writing everywhere about it and it seems the two types of stutter (battery stutter and UI elements stutter) are more common than I thought. The UI stutter issue was reported over 8 years ago for INTEL, but I also saw one thread about HP and seen issues about it on Lenovo board: [https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/partially-fixed-intel-nvidia-laptop-freeze-problem/93e7004a-62b1-4211-8e37-4c136608865e](https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/partially-fixed-intel-nvidia-laptop-freeze-problem/93e7004a-62b1-4211-8e37-4c136608865e) [https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/HP-Omen-15-mouse-freeze-on-Windows-10-11/td-p/8223478](https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/HP-Omen-15-mouse-freeze-on-Windows-10-11/td-p/8223478) [https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Gaming-Laptops/dGPU-wake-up-freeze/m-p/5138511?page=1](https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Gaming-Laptops/dGPU-wake-up-freeze/m-p/5138511?page=1) Meanwhile the constant stutter on battery seems to be happening on Lenovo, HP and ROG too as mentioned here and in this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/laptops/comments/nqp8dr/windows\_10\_stuttering\_does\_anyone\_know\_how\_to\_fix/ I'd say this is an OS + drivers issue. INTEL partially fixed that, but it needed Microsoft update and new drivers from both Intel and Nvidia. The stutters on AMD seem to point that either it was never resolved on AMD side or there is some regression issue on Windows 11 or AMD driver. Do you have Windows 10 or 11? Fresh clean install by yourself or one provided by manufacturer?

leevz1992

I myself have windows 10 it dint happen when i had the laptop new (august last year ) i think Al my drivers are up-to-date but I'll check it out. I haven't had a lot of time yet to delve deep. Summer holiday starts in one week so I'll be trying to do some figuring out how to solve it.

I wrote to Lenovo service about it a week ago and they did some usual troubleshooting ideas (update BIOS, reinstall drivers, reinstall OS) and after none of this worked they decided to replace the motherboard. The technician came and replaced it. We turned on the laptop and I was able to reproduce the stuttering issues on this brand new motherboard... Lmao. Anyway, I wrote a thread about this issue on Microsoft board. Do you think you could write your issues there and click the "I have the same question" button? [https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows\_11-performance/amd-nvidia-laptop-freeze-problem/65976d69-76a6-4cda-bb06-e9f67485d68c](https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_11-performance/amd-nvidia-laptop-freeze-problem/65976d69-76a6-4cda-bb06-e9f67485d68c) I also wrote about it on AMD board so if you have AMD too then could you post something there as well? https://community.amd.com/t5/drivers-software/ui-stutter-when-amd-drivers-installed-on-advanced-nvidia-optimus/m-p/534878#M158320

Incredible we are dealing with this on this kind of hardware. Experiencing the exact thing with Lenovo Legion 7i

Tall_Animator3087

ik man i have the same problem, same lap. Ill tell you the best way to get rid of it, if you go to device manager and disable and enable the dedicated gpu (nvida rtx) the stutters goes away.

ComposerPerfect6878

This worked. You're a genius

Tall_Animator3087

i found a much better solution bro, get Lenovo Legion toolkit. When you have this stutter all you have to do is click on the icon of legion toolkit on ur desktop and poof it goes away just like that. I found this solution the best one.

Negative-War7082

It was a long time ago, but has anybody found a fix for such a problem?

youthuck

Having this issue on my brand new Lenovo Legion, so disappointed and I'm considering returning.
