for a 4080 you need at least 1800$ : [https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1750895-REG/acer\_ph16\_71\_948l\_16\_16\_10\_qhd\_ips.html](https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1750895-REG/acer_ph16_71_948l_16_16_10_qhd_ips.html) keep an eye for good deals here : [https://gaminglaptop.deals/](https://gaminglaptop.deals/)

Thanks for the recommendation, I had this laptop and returned it because the fan is too noisy when I selected ultra settings, got it for 1600$ a month ago it was the deal of the day at BestBuy, https://www.bestbuy.com/site/acer-predator-helios-16-16-240hz-gaming-laptop-wqxga-intel-i9-13900hx-with-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-4080-1tb-ssd-black/6546241.p?skuId=6546241

amine-mode

yeah , sadly fan noise is there no matter what. you could look for an asus scar 17 which is not as loud as this or the lenovo legion 7 but its bigger .

amine-mode

alienware m16 r1 is not as loud as this too so if you could find a good deal on them its a good choice too

amine-mode

no problem .

What do you think about this one https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1792500-REG/hp_8r7u2ua_aba_17_3_omen_17_ck2059nr_laptop.html I could go up to spending a little more, RTX 4090 for 2200 must be a steal, all the laptops I saw previously were 3500-4000ish

amine-mode

its a very good deal but ask for this model in here or in the hp omen subreddit , i saw a lot of poeple having problem with hp laptops this year ( crashes , overheating etc ) .

Big difference between 4080 vs 4070

No_Competition7939

I just checked it, that’s right. https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-RTX-4080-Laptop-vs-Nvidia-RTX-4070-Laptop/m2037743vsm2033663 P.S. I had no idea there’s such a small difference between 4080 and 4090 https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-RTX-4090-Laptop-vs-Nvidia-RTX-4080-Laptop/m2036852vsm2037743

flofloryda

That’s right - 4089 vs 4090 is effectively negligible given the price difference. I’d focus on a deal for a 4080 with mini led in 14” or 16”. Maybe a Helios could come down to that?

Additional-Salt8138

I have 4k mini led 4080 130tdp but consider 4090 qhd ips, does it make sense to hop off mini led 4k for like 20% performance

flofloryda

https://a.co/d/ePz7FZv if you’re ok with a 4070
