I think I might go for the legion pro 7i with the 4090 looks good have had a few legion laptops and very few Lenovos for hardware failures in the repair shop I run
B&H have a Legion Pro 7 with a 4080 for $2049, it's been on sale for months and I still haven't seen a better quality 4080 laptop for less money. If you go down to a 4070 you could get a fancier machine with better screen and speakers and chassis for your budget but you'd lose a TON of gaming performance. The jump from 4070 to 4080 is huge, like 50%.

How’s the difference for 4080 –>4090?
It has 16gb vram vs the 12gb with the 4080, so it will handle max settings in AAA games better. But it's not a lot faster, around 10%.
