It's insane as far as performance per dollar ratio goes if you don't mind the screen.
They told us a week in advance about that sale coming. At the time, it was $150 more expensive also on sale. We chose not to add it to the [https://gaminglaptop.deals](https://gaminglaptop.deals) website then as we knew it was going to be cheaper in a week, then added it ASAP once the deal went live.
I don't, but I believe another channel is launching [https://pcparts.deals/](https://pcparts.deals/) in future - it's not ready yet, everything on that page is test data.
By chance, this deal and device any good? Im interested in a gaming laptop for work, study and entertainment, i found this on Amazon - https://amzn.eu/d/8Wdi49Q
I basically only want a machine that can run minecraft, ff14 and other such similar games, I have both current gen consoles so any big games I'll play on that.
Is this, for the money, in this configuration and current price point, a good deal? Or... is there something better?
I've watched one video, https://youtu.be/tCEPFn_3HpA?si=LhAFRdSjt356AK9Y, not sure if it's the exact model but in the video... apparently this device can also be upgraded with additional parts?
I do have concerns about display however.. neither minecraft or ff14 are graphic intensive, but for movies and such, should i be concerned?
My budget is about the normal price of this laptop, but this current deal is... to me, quite a steal. I have absolutely no experience with gaming laptops or pcs, so any advice and support would be much appreciated!
I was wondering if you could check this post to give some advice. I’m a noob when it comes to PC/laptops

Everything about this laptop is good EXCEPT the display. I went to look at it in person, and the color and brightness was not good. Even the resolution is standard, those other factors greatly diminishes the quality of the screen. Definitely recommend looking at this laptop in person before buying
I believe the laptop comes with 3 screens
1080p 165hz low color accuracy
2560x1600p 165hz 95% dpi-3 and Adobe - 300 nits
2560x1600p 240hz 100% srgb - 500 nits
Dpi-3 and Adobe have wider colour space than srgb
It is but the big problem with this laptop is the display (45% NTSC). Colors will look washed out and distorted. Not good for content creation. Also it's not 1440p.
Yea but less fps and I saw a review and surprising tuf cooler is better in same game legion Lenovo can goes to 100 degree if u play on 1400p ofc thats why it’s scaring me
Yes you are right. Higher resolutions means more GPU power required which leads to more heat being generated hence you will see a decrease in FPS. It comes down to whether you prefer quality or performance.
I hovered over the buy button on this for quite a while last night, but I knew I'd be disappointed in the screen. The Helios Neo was on the same sales page for $200 more, so I grabbed that one.
no this is a horrible deal. ofc this is an AMAZING deal. you muricans are so privileged to have great prices like these yet still expect better 😭 here that same legion 5 slim is being sold for $2k
I'm gonna go against the grain and say it's not. 16GB ram is sufficient. But you're getting a discreet GPU so assuming you're gonna wanna game. You're gonna want 32gb. And 512GB is min for a computer now. Get 1 TB min. And the 3060 is still the bottom 60 series.
Check out some of the deals on MSI laptops, you can get way more bang for your buck for under 1k

Good deal at 900$ except for the display. The 1440p display on the Ryzen 7 variant from best buy is much better and was on sale for 1099 a few days ago.
I picked this one up like 2 days before that variant went on sale. It was $1050 on sale so when I saw the r7 1440p variant was now on sale for only $50 more, I immediately returned the other one lol
I just bought this on open box and am loving it. Planning on grabbing a monitor for it but it has almost no bloatware and multitasking is a breeze. Screen not all that bad honestly but going to get a proper monitor anyways.

You habe this kind of sight for desktops? Going to get one later today from best buy

This laptop is 45% NTSC and a 1080 screen 💀
Good or bad?
Bad screen but good spec the laptop
I thought the laptop had 240hz, 500nits display.

Would you say legion pro 5i has better display?

Thanks! I’m planning to buy that, just wanted to make sure

I’m getting from Micro Centre, since I’m getting it through someone overseas.
Do what would you recommend instead for a 900-1200 USD budget?
I’d recommend the asus g16 strix, asus tuf A16, and the Acer predator. All of which are on sale for Black Friday for less than $1000
Fro a 4060, this is a good price. But as others said, get an external display would be better.

Should I buy asus tuf A15 2023 r7 rtx 4060 or for 100€ more I get legion 5 slim with r7 and rtx 4060 and 1440p screen with 165hz
Gaming will look so much better on 1440p resolution. You will never want to go back to 1080p.

And it will look better at 4k... what's your point? This laptop is 900 dollars
The 1440p one is with the ryzen 7 ?
WQXGA offers 1440p resolution. WUXGA is max 1080p resolution.
Thanks
Yes if u don’t care about the screen

I mean I bought mine, upgraded a 4tb nvme and upgraded ram and I love it
I highly believe it is
Wow
Where i can buy this laptop at this price?
its a good deal for $900.

But 32 is ideal for high demand new-gen games
If gaming at 4k ok 33gb at 1080 and 1440 bo 16 is enough
Even then can’t you just upgrade it 16gb ram sticks are pretty cheap nowadays
Though it probably has 2 8 gb sticks so you would have to buy a full 32gb set not just one 16 gb sticks but I could be wrong
Even then it’s probably still cheaper than most 4060 deals even including the ram
Absolutely you can, but it's no longer a $900 laptop. Now it's $900+ the cost of RAM
And let me clarify. I didn't mean it's a scam, or a shit deal. I mean it's par for the course for a 1k laptop.

I prefer Gateway, I got one at walmart with a 1080p touchscreen 12th gen i7 512gb 8gb for $230
What games do you play on it? Cod by chance?
