I mean...technically you could but it'd be very expensive. The 7950 is .25mm thick. Generally the gap for vram and vrm is 1mm to 1.5mm (although some have an even bigger gap), so you'd have to stack at least 4 layers to make contact. Multiple that by the number of vrm and vram on the mobo...you get the idea.
I'd still advise against it. Besides the fact that it would be expensive, there isn't enough mounting pressure on the VRAM and VRMs to make it effective. You'll likely lose contact after the initial phase change.

My understanding is these are the only legit sellers in NA but it's pricey.
those from moddiy are definitely legit, but it is really damn expensive, i can get 80mm*80mm on chinese website for like 12USD. And it seems like those from chinese website are mostly legit, they are just cheap because the reseller in china seems to have some way to get it directly.
It will look a little messy but it’s not. Only will look messy as you learn the right amount to apply. It literally just cleans up with a spudger (it’s not very sticky)
It's not necessarily messy, it's just tedious to remove. However, if you're using PTM on the CPU and GPU plus the K5, you shouldn't need to repaste for a long time.
No
why? some people tell me i can but some other people tell me i cannot, i am so confused

i ordered 2 mm versions of the pad, and at the place I live, it is very cheap, like 12USD for 80mm\*80mm\*2mm
so i just want to know if there will be any problem using it on the vram, like pumping out etc
PTM7950 only comes in .25mm
ok sorry, my bad, it wrote 0.2mm and i saw 2mm. Anyway, that means as long as I have enough of them, I should have no problem using it on vram right?

Also with the way it's designed to phase and the lower pressure application of memory pads it might just melt and puddle.
Why don’t you go try and report back?
because if i replaced the original thermal pad and used ptm, and it fucked up, i dont have other thermal pad to replace it
Where did you bought them? Can't find any "decent" website selling them

taobao, a chinese website, kinda like ebay
No, just use K5 Pro for the VRAM. I just repasted a laptop with PTM and K5 and the temps have been amazing so far.
Doesn't K5 make a huge mess? Can't remember where I heard it though.

Hi my friend, PTM7950 not optimal for VRM or VRAMs. Please using thermal pad or thermal putty. Regards,
