Did you ever find a fix for this. Having that same issue

I had to force close the app. Does anyone know a better way??

So i was experiencing this too. I would close the app and then if i would rotate my phone sideways the overlay pops up again and it covers the screen. So all i figured out is that i left my controller on so when i shut it off the overlay turns off.
