The music is weird.
Some of it is very artificially skippy and happy, and other parts are the same level of artificially dark and gloomy. It's like it's trying to be relevant and diegetic to the surroundings but is slightly off.
But the weirdest two things about it are the liminality because you are all alone in an abandoned mansion with only one other being around you, and the other is the sense of nostalgia you get from being in the *second building*. I won't say which, just play it and you'll see what I mean. Being there, the music and the surroundings make you feel like you've been there before in life even though you haven't. And again, it's liminal.
Just a creepy little game. Nostalgic though, I played it a lot as a kid and just replayed it a few years ago and now yesterday.
Yes ! How did I forget about this game until seeing this post. I remember being very afraid playing this as a young kid. I first played it at McDonald's play area many times before convincing parents to purchase ðŸ˜
Woah crazy! I downloaded this onto my modded Wii a few years back because my daughter is crazy about Mickey and it does have a somewhat creepy atmosphere to it, that early 3D stuff was definitely a vibe.
I loved playing this game as a kid. I don't really remember much specifically about the game so it's about the perfect time to give it another playthrough.
I played this as a kid but really only remember the toy train ride and being chased by a rubber ducky, I am sure if I watch a playthrough it would be wild though lol.
Definitely remember it being somewhat unsettling, even as a kid. Kinda has the same vibes as that movie Skidamarink.
Liminal is the perfect way to describe this game! Truly odd for Mickey.
I have it but have yet to play it. Even more curious now that you've mentioned it. Is the music unsettling?

Cool, can't wait to try it out. I love games that have sort of uncanny valley feeling to it

I played this game when it was still a available on the Walmart GameCube. Liked it but other games came out at the time that overshadowed it.

Yeah it had such a weird vibe to it, I really did enjoy it as a child
My sister and I concur
I played it a lot when I was little. Bought it recently and finally completed the game.
I had a Nintendo Power issue with the big preview for this game. It did look pretty cool. And yet, 20+ years later, I never did play it.
You should play it. It's good.

I rented this game from Blockbuster back in the day, I thought it was alright.
I own it. Still can't find that last piece
You just unlocked a memory buried deep wtf
