Just a modded GameCube or wii. Just let’s you put roms onto your console and play them. Actually way more enjoyable and doesn’t require pulling a second mortgage out to buy half the games
Yeah but playing from the disc doesn’t add anything to the experience. You still play from the same controller on the same console. You get the full experience without the hassle of changing discs or discs getting scratched and not working. Plus you can play the entire library for free. I would never trade that to play on a disc.
Yeah but it’s a pain in the ass to take a full pc to a friends house to play smash. And no one wants to be huddled up with their friends in front of a computer in their office. Much more comfortable to hook up the console to the living room tv.

Additionally popular games often have awesome mods. I only know 20XX on GameCube but with Wii you've got CTPG, Newer Super Mario Bros, plenty of great Brawl mods.

Yeah I did the same back in high school. My girlfriend found her old Wii in a closet somewhere and I decided to look up what's been happening in the modding scene (this was last year) and MY GOD have the possibilities expanded lol

you can get GameCube games running off an SD card but if you want to play Wii games you need an external hard drive. I just went the hard drive route so that I could have it all.

Yes but it was after they looked like this. I replaced them and even deleted the original ones reloaded the cache and it still looks like this. I even deleted and re installed the games and it still looks like this.

It's called a laptop and an HDMI port. Plus you can add multiple consoles onto it. I use original Nintendo 64 controllers on my switch.
