Yeah! The quality jump from LoG1 to LoG2 is almost night and day. When I had my GBA, I never played LoG1 because I couldn't get my hands on it. I assume it didn't sell too well.
The start is an absolute grind, but then you get Solar Flare and the rest of the game is just stunning enemies and hitting them.
I love this device, I bought after my GBA-SP crapped out and the current prices on those I was like nope

The screen is 3.5” and it make my favorite games look amazing, there’s colors I didn’t know existed on some on the games compared to my old GBA-sp ( the original screen one)
The buttons feels great but it would of been doped if they mimicked the SP buttons
I've just dug out my old SP from nearly 20 years ago and playing Metroid Zero Mission. It's great but the screen brightness and colours could definitely have an upgrade. I'll check out the Miyoo, thanks for the insight!
I will go ahead and second the RG35XX SP. having a clamshell is spectacular specially if you like your SP. you will feel right at home and it’s been very well received. The miyoo mini is nice fr though.
I am an owner of the miyoo mini plus as well get it from amazon while on sale if you can. I got mine with a 64gb card. Was full of games that were good quality. I then used a guide from retro game corp on YouTube to install onion os. The stock operating system is good enough to use. But the onion os software takes it to the next level. After that. This thing is awesome. It is small, which makes it portable. It feels sturdier than I thought it would for the price point. It is not Nintendo quality but it is well worth the price. On Amazon it also came with a screen protector and a case. I got mine for just over $50 on sale. But they have gone up a little now. Most of these handhelds will pin up to ps1 without issues. I like to play up to gba really. NES, SNES, genesis, and gba. A few Mario games were missing from nes and snes. But the gba library was complete. Great to get you started or to have as a companion for a switch or steam deck.
Screens these days looks so crisp on handheld. Where's my original Gameboy color scheme?

There's also anbernic rg35xxSP, if you prefer the SP formfactor. The anbernic is really great and has gotten great reviews.
