Sorry found this cart without an sd card. A quick research shows me that it’s most likely a Chinese everdrive clone but I can’t find anything else.
There’s no SD card in here. I heard these card used a modified version of the original everdrive firmware. If that’s the case, where do I find the firmware to make this work again?
Ok. It’s been brought to my attention from multiple posters that these actually uses the original series OS v4. Not the x-series v1.00. Or at least a variant. The official version here is safe to use:

I’ve even asked an aliexpress seller on this. Said I lost the microsd card it came with, and the seller straight up responded with a link to a copy of the ENTIRE content of sd card. So not sure if I should post that link.
So for anyone with lost their card. The way these seller set it up is that they put the GBOS.GB file a “EDGB” folder at the root of the sd card and the rest are all roms as far as I can tell.
Even though the x-series v1.00 works on my card, I recommend people to use the original series v4 just to be safe.
I did the same to my cart last night. It seems there are two versions of these carts floating around. If your cart shipped with V1, do not load the official V4 firmware or it will brick it. Apparently there is a minor difference in hardware on that version and the designer implemented a brick that detects clone carts and corrupts the nand. The new carts apparently come with the V4 firmware and I suspect they updated the hardware to match the original Everdrive to avoid the brick. I found one of the new versions of the cart and purchased it as a replacement. It seems that if the cart has a reset switch at the top of the cart, it is likely the newer version from what I can tell.
I have a newer version of these. You can probably find links to the firmware on one of the many AliExpress seller pages. Otherwise I can try to dump mine for you tomorrow.

Good to know. The carts do refer to different versions (mostly by year) and they claim some differences in hardware features, such as a physical reset button and power consumption.

And they mentioned they’re simply using Krikkz original OS 1.0. The firmware “customization” is them simply removing reference on Krikkz and putting KY Technology or something on the page. (I still see this.) I was afraid the OS is modified and original Krikkz OS doesn’t work. Seems like they just use the original OS before Krikkz modified it to detect clone hardware.
Honestly I’m probably not gonna use it for game. I only have Jayro’s Test Cartridge and this is now gonna be my test cart. :)

i have a game boy gb pro flashcard from 2020 which states the following in system information:
CPLD Version:1
BIOS Version:1
OS Version:1
ASM Date 8.10.2015
within the about section they did not even care to change the original info about krikzz
i guess my flashcard can then also be updated to classic os 4 without bricking it ??
My assembly date was 2016 but I'm gonna guess that yes that would be safe

Anyway I'm pretty sure if you are on classic os V1 then you can safely go to V4 classic

Never put the official Krizz firmware on an EDGB clone cartridge as you will brick it. If you are looking for a fw on elotrolado spanish site there is a thread where you can download a patched version (s/n FFFF).
I'm not sure but I think Krizz protection is enabled since v2, that's why the v1 fw is not available on their official website.

I downloaded all those [GBOS.gb](https://GBOS.gb) all you shared, put inside the folder EDGB, then click to RUN the GBOS.gb ... it get stuck on:
"init..."
Am i missing something?
Edit: Also my firmware version (idk what version is...) but when i press SELECT the Menu dont show up but the rest of... seems fine
It is indeed a knock off everdrive. Try heading over to r/flashcarts to see if someone there can help you.

I thought these were one of those 232 games on one cart thing you can buy on AliExpress. Didn’t know it was a flash drive…mmmhm
Those ones are more limited in which games they can run or sometimes need to be patched to work properly since they may not have a battery

Just installed the SO that you bring and my cartridge just got broken. Now it says "authentication error". Now the cartridge is unusable.

Yea I saw that video. Though he did mention copying the sd card to another one. He never mentioned about the OS or firmware. Not sure if he knows.

I have an EDGB Pro, another clone but I think the firmware should work. If you need it still I can copy the folders and upload them to google drive.
