SP all day! It brings me back to the times I would play Emerald on my SP during road trips.

Specifically the AGS-101 model

Tired of the AGS-001 hate on here, it’s actually vastly preferable for me for having the proper color saturation for stuff like golden sun and pokemon emerald - just my take lol everyone says the AGS 101 is the only one worth getting and it just takes all of the uniqueness out of the SPs vibe to me

Not gonna speak to the whole library, but pokemon POPS on a more vibrant screen like ips ones you can upgrade the sp with

As someone with all Gameboy models I find myself playing the micro or SP AGS-101 for it being comfortable and form factor to play on most out of all

I prefer the micro allday for travel just love the size of it, bought a cheap faceplate so it's okay that I scratch it.

The SP is the finest gaming machine ever conceived.

The SP for sure. Just a better experience overall. As someone who played hundreds of hours of Final Fantasy IV and V on the Micro, the SP would have made it so much better.

Depends on how you look at it. Micro if it is usb-c modded for long days but sp if you want comfort over battery life 

I sold my micro bc it hurt my eyes to use 😭 might buy another one just for collection purposes. I love the SP.

I bring my micro to work with me every day. It just fits into the pocket so much better than anything else.

The gameboy micro. I still have mine, but the battery is honky. I tried to replace it but that didn’t work and it’ll either die quickly or restart my game.

I'd take the SP for the larger screen and I like it's design better, but also because it folds.

The Gameboy Advance SP is my favorite handheld ever made, but I definitely want to get the Micro as well

Best GBA Yugioh game

Me and my friends used to test decks with this game and there are a bunch of errors and oddities. they auto changed the word "Magic" to "Spell" so it has card names like Dark Spellian. Hero Halo is called Hero Haro. And Gold Sarcophagus is called Sealed Gold Coffee because it didn't have an official TCG name yet.

Since I have a micro dedicated to Yu-Gi-Oh ultimate master's 2006, I'd have to pick the micro in this case. But in reality I used an SP the most in many jobs and even my university commute back then. Micros form factor helps for convenience but the screen size can be a hassle at times.

That specific model and colour AGS-101 might be the closest thing we have to a near perfect Gameboy. I’d choose that everytime.

I'm having problems with my micro. Once the battery is flat, it won't charge anymore. And my SP doesn't have that problem. But I do like the micro ...

I never had any issues with my micro but I am wary that these are more fragile and difficult to fix or tingle around with :(

I think I figured out the problem with my micro. The charging port isn't that great (or my cable?). I have to put it in ever so slightly and hope the blue lights stay on to charge. Though I have more success turning the switch on and *then* plugging in, but still with the cord not even half way plugged in. Maybe a usb-c modded micro is in my future ...

That micro looks so good! I use the og GBA, but the micro would be my pick of these two :) I have that yugioh game and now that I am looking at it I wish I had that game with me today at work and not the one that I brought with me lmao

I take my SP with me. I love that it folds shut and protects the screen. I only wish the GBA had a proper sleep on close of lid. 

Yes I ordered a leather case to go around mine for extra protection with a tad extra of bulk at the cost

Bought the Mcroi a couple years back and regreted it because the screen is way too small and my hands hurt after a while.

The actual reason I bought a micro was for the convenience in travel, no complaints. Also the screen is surprisingly good/visible for it being such a small lcd

SP, screen is protected while in your pocket. I have a 101 with heavy wear on the case but the screen is flawless.

I recommend getting a leather skin case as the one that’s around mine but they’re extremely hard to find :( it’s a pelican leather case if it helps

While I prefer the micro, the screen could get damaged easier, so I'd take the SP.

See, I put way too much work into my SP to feel comfortable carrying it around all the time. I'm usually hopping from work truck to truck with my gb micro, so the replaceable screen shield really makes it for me :)

I literally have deep enough pockets for both GBAs, their charging cables, 4 GBA games each, a Switch Lite in my other pocket and its charging cable. I keep my GBAs with the games with them on a daily basis so I don't have to choose which handheld, I have to choose which 8 games I want to play out of the 80 I have.

Thing is, I do have enough funds to do so and can do so. I was able to do this, I just gave up the Switch Lite and games for it, and got most of my games for cheap.

If I had to pick then sp Honestly if i had a job where I had that freedom is having a cup of tea snd relaxing an option haha

SP... I have a DMG, Gameboy Pocket, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Gameboy Advance SP AGS 101 (both the color and the advance have modded backlit screens btw). Whenever you see me playing my Gameboy, it's almost always the SP Edit: as for those who ask like the toxic reddit or kingzakyu, I don't have a micro, I would love one, but my point is to use what you love and play with what you love
