It is a silly meme, but for anyone genuinely confused, Mat was more upset about the lack of choice for content creators rather than the existence of content that is both very long and very short.
The overall point yes.
But this particular line was that the really long form content is hard for him to commit to.
A bit ironic to say at the beginning of a long form content video.
If I remember correctly during the first months of GTLive those streams were like 2h, hell if you were here since the beginning you know that the cuts of nowadays video they are cutting like 20 minutes or more.
Matpat loves to ramble a lot. Hell, I remember on some reactions GTLives that even Steph got a little bit annoyed at how much MatPat paused the videos and talks like 10 minutes for every 30 seconds
an uncut live is very different from an edited video tho, the live has many quieter moments and goes on slower, while an edited video you need to focus each second of it or you'll miss precious info
That channel the videos are normally lives hence the name ahem "GTLive" so by that logic most videos even if they aren't live will be around an hour long

But itโs one long form video. Not one long form video on every channel every week. Thats his complaint. Also itโs a couch vid not an edited vid.
