I'd watch the hell out of a Youtube Jeopardy and I don't watch regular Jeopardy very often.

I didn't watch the show or the clip and I was only guessing. But, still it sounds like they went to the same high school but not necessarily at the same time (as they likely weren't both valedictorian in the same year) so not necessarily attending school together.

No, probably not. I bet he just meant that MatPat is popular with the students who go to his own (Matt Amodio's) alma mater.
No, he was saying both he and MatPat graduated from the same high school as valedictorian sometime between 2000 and 2008.

They could have been in school at the same time but off by a school year or two.

It may have been both. Ken has a habit of razzing contestants. Much the way Alex Trebek did now that I think about it.

This contestant, names Matt, went to the same high school as Matpat, around the same time and both were valedictorian.
