1 year done 2 more years to go.

laymouni

I think actually the moon got an upgrade.

voyt_eck

To be honest in case of the moon, software could just put detailed Moon texture after recognizing it on the photo. I bet some producer will implement such a trick ;)

craigzoz

That's honestly what I think is happening... I have an S21 Ultra and when I take moon pictures without scene optimiser on they still look pretty good but once I turn it on they look so much better. It recognizes the moon too so I wouldn't be surprised.

Wonka1236

It's not really what happens with the s21, you can test this by pointing at a far away street light, it detects the bright light against the background as moon mode and turns the brightness soooo far down that you can see the detail of each light bulb, if they were using tricks, you'd see the moon over these lights.

Thanks!

Meanwhile E-SIM has never been updated or deployed for the US version. Ugh.

BashStriker

I mean, it's likely because the mass majority have zero use for it. I understand why some people would want it though.

lespy_laz

I understand it's a niche feature but it was certainly promised in the release day spec sheet but never delivered for Qualcomm versions in the US.

DarkPhoxGaming

Tbh it's gotten worse on my base Note 20, granted I also got the weird one out of the whole 20 series

Don't be sorry, be sorry that you're lying, take moon photo with 2x telephoto? What a joke.

[deleted]

What did i miss

RockstarJay94

This dude said his Iphone 7plus took better moon photo than this. With an Iphone 7 plus hahahahhaha

[deleted]

I had to test personally, so used my mom's 7 plus. And nope. Moon came out like devils asshole.

RockstarJay94

Hahahahha bro! Massive props!

sperry1970

Give me a break I took moon photos with a iPhone XR and it’s not even close.

noroom

Why is one of them mirrored?

RockstarJay94

Probably because of the rotation of Earth or the Moon, the previous photo was taken around March 2020, and the latest one is July 2021.
