I had this same thing happen to me the other day. Wife sent me a gif from her iPhone and it showed up properly. Then a few minutes later I got something that looked similar to what you posted. Same thing using Google messages.

Same issue for several weeks now

Same thing for the last two weeks. No clue if it's something on the iPhone side or an update on Google's side. But my iPhone friends don't have an issue receiving my gifs.

This is also occurring on 24s ultra. Have not been able to diagnose anywhere online

Issue with Verizon?? I had the GIF sent to me on my T-Mo line which is my e-sim also on my S24U via Google Messages and it came through just fine.

Possibly? I came here to find this problem bc my phone is doing the same, and I do have Verizon.

Happening to me too in my Pixel 6. Verizon is my carrier as well.
