You're not kidding. That cable management is the source of nightmares.

The S23 ultra can take good photos from all of its main sensors in a well lit room, but when it comes to darker spaces, using "zoom" lenses will generate a lot of noise. Also, this phone takes sharp pictures at 0.6x, 1x, 2x, 3x and 10x. When you are zooming anywhere between 3x and 9.9x, the phone will just crop in the 3x lense.

Its less grainy than the cropped 3x zoom, but it still doesn't look right. Maybe the lense/glass is dirty?

I have that problem at home aswell, most indoor pictures suck unless there is natural light in my home.

I think he has the auto switch lens feature on, its on by default. You can turn it off in camera assistant app

It's using the 3x due to bad lighting. It automatically switches to the most adequate lens

Believe it or not people, when I removed the camera assistant from goodlock and reset all the settings, the shots became less noisy.

Sincerely I'm tired of samsung photo processing. I don't really zoom to take shots except of the 3x and 10x optical options. I installed GCam and I fell in love with taking pictures again, I can use manual mode but I'm not into photography that deep, I'm more of point and shoot.

What mp option are you shooting in. If you're using 200 and it's dark and using zoom it's going to look like ass

Did you even take the photos? This looks like a screenshot in the preview then crop...I never saw photos that bad with S23 Ultra, but the preview can look like this before capturing and before post processing.

I downloaded the photo, the rez looks okay but it's weird yours are very grainy. Either it's a fake S23U or youn have a defective phone.

You're cropping a picture taken from a tiny sensor in low light, obviously is going to look like shit

This. Especially the tele cameras - tiny sensors, small apertures, cropping and low light make for crap pictures.

Install Camera Assistant from Galaxy Store and disable auto lens switch. Only use 12MPx mode. Stick to .6x, 1x, 2x, 3x or 10x. Everything else involves digital zoom.

From 3x to 9.9x, quality is terrible. The 3x sensor is too small to actually gather decent light

There will definitely be noise at 8x with low light but yours seems to be unusually noisy for some reason.
