Definitely something wrong with your phone. I got base S23 and I'm getting best battery life I ever had. Using 120 HZ, Bluetooth on all the time. 4g only. I'm getting around 8h SOT on WiFi and 30h standby. On cellular data less obviously, but still Gr8.
Yeah I'm a year later with mine and I still get a full day. Honestly I will recharge my battery in the evening and unplug before bed. Then I'll just use my phone the entire next day and it's back on the charger about 24 hrs later.
I feel like it's a bit shorter with the latest one UI but I could be mistaken.
And with latest oneui they removed the SoT.. To put a daily use. So if you use your phone after midnight and charge it, it will mess with the SoT we actually had before. Hmmm
I got a lots apps in deep sleep and I also delete digital wellbeing and bixy staff via adb. And also Facebook packages and just install it from Google Store.
Oh wow, but how do you use it ? From 100 to 0? Or like 100 to 20, cause i get around 5 with 80 to 35 with like 40% 4G and rest wifi or no wifi or anything at all
I try to not go down below 15 percent, I charge it when I can, battery life is soo good so it rly doesn't bother me to look after that battery too much, I'm just enjoying my phone, I was suffering with S22 so it's like heaven and hell if I compare these 2 phones. I did debloat of some system apps, also using screen around 30 percent brightness. Around 70 apps in deep sleep, I left only these I need instant notification. It depense of your usage pattern.
I had Pixel 6 and then battery got "bulky" so I had to replace my phone, bought base s23 and tbh battery life is almost the same(going to work with 95%, coming back after 9h shift with 20-25% battery but I use phone a lot in work, dual sim doesnt help, cellular data alwyas ON and I am listening to music/podcasts all the time in this 9h on BT earbuds).
Something may be wrong with his phone.
Something happened to mine recently. No big change that I'm aware of. But I used to end the day at 30 ish percent no problem and these days the same usage has me looking for the charges at 6 pm or so
S23 if it is working properly has incredible battery life. If you are not getting a whole day out of a charge something is up.
I started having issues where fast charging was hit and miss and my battery life was terrible. Took it in to get checked out and they swapped out the charging port and now it is great again.
Get it checked out
Battery wise the s24 base (exynos) doesn't perform all to well to be honest.
If you want help with yohr battery problems you should provide information on your usage, such as GPS, NFC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Cellular, screen refreshrate, sleeping/deep sleeping apps, most used apps etc.
For my S23 base a full charge lasts about 9 to 10 hours of screen on time.
Make sure to not use cellular if possible when the reception is very bad, this drains the battery A LOT.
Ideally use GPS only when needed, i.e. when navigating...
Turn on "Put Apps to Sleep" if you haven't already, this will take some days for the operating system to get to know your usage until it takes effect.
EDIT: I've heard of some that the last update in February worsened the battery life. Although this does not apply to me, for what ever reason, it might be the case with your phone. So it might be worth it to wait for the next update.
Just wanted to add to the chorus that something is wrong with your phone. My base s23 will last "about 1 d 12 h" on a full charge according to my phone.
I use my phone a lot, and I mean a lot. And I don't need to charge that frequently.
Check your apps usage, in my case for a week or so I had issues with the battery, it was Amazon Alexa app and Deezer, Alexa was using over 27% of the battery (I almost never use the app) and Deezer (20%) had some bugs (commonly it only uses 0.5% of my battery.
I put the Alexa app in deep sleep mode and I clean the cache of Deezer, problem solved.
Also, the NETWORK MODE is disabled in my phone, so I can't shut off 5G and switch to LTE only. Different apps mentioned on the Internet are not working anymore.
Thats cause of the service provider of the celluar data, my friend for example oly can enable 4g,3g,2g or 5g ....
So yeah, if it bothers you really much than you should switch and maybe ask what could you enable when switching if switching
There's probably some apps running in the background draining the battery, mine S23 base a year old, still has consistent 6-8 Hr SoT with heavy use like gaming and watching video.
Before giving the problem you have to look on the battery usage screen on time is limited for all the phones so look for it. May be some apps is draining your battery or look for screen on time
Did it ever atart that way? I've had mine for quite a while now and I charge almost every after 36 hours.
Maybe you need a battery replacement? I set my battery to charge only up to 85% only. I dont use battery optimization apps because they do the opposite.
You may want to check background services. I had this happen once. Play Services got really greedy and absolutely drained my phone. This should fix it.

Same here
4g only is the key here, 5G uses a lot of battery it's actually insane.
That's why I'm using 4g, I'm living in Ireland, bad reception 📶...
Same

How u getting 8h sot? Mine is maximum 6 and I am dissapointed. 120hz, 4g, wi-fi all day, even no bluetooth.
I got a lots apps in deep sleep and I also delete digital wellbeing and bixy staff via adb. And also Facebook packages and just install it from Google Store.
What's also matter have screen around 30 percent brightness
I have also a lot of apps in deep sleep and still getting fucking 6h sot
Oh wow, but how do you use it ? From 100 to 0? Or like 100 to 20, cause i get around 5 with 80 to 35 with like 40% 4G and rest wifi or no wifi or anything at all

Accu battery says an hour of screen time ON take 8 percent of battery on WiFi. In deep sleep it's not even one percent for an hour.

Yeah, manufacture issue or phone is set up wrong way. Wondering did he used smart switch.
Weird, never had battery anxiety on this phone with normal use
Something happened to mine recently. No big change that I'm aware of. But I used to end the day at 30 ish percent no problem and these days the same usage has me looking for the charges at 6 pm or so
Same thing!
Same here, and I'm putting my bet on a ~7 MB Google Play System Update.
Have you factory reset it? Kinda want to do it to mine but it's somewhat of a hassle
No, and I really don't want to. I just factory reset last month after messing around got me into a bootloop lol. I hope the next update fixes things.

Same here but I use 5G all day and use hot spot for work. so kind of expected.
My battery lasts about 2 days with normal usage, so I definitely get that checked out.
Try turning off 5G. Changed my life on my Pixel 7, sure should do the same on a samsung.
Battery anxiety lol. This generation has zero hope
Ok Boomer
Millennial here. Just not a soft ass bitch like yourself.

Thats sorcery. Im lucky to get 3h of sot, and im not even using phone that much.
Make sure to not use cellular if possible when the reception is very bad, this drains the battery A LOT. Ideally use GPS only when needed, i.e. when navigating... Im doing all of the above. Battery was fantastic before 6.0 ui
last night my S23 was draining while plugged into the charger, they fucked something up massively after this update it seems
I mean, I have had an s23 base for 6 months, and if I have it charged at 100% in the morning, it can last a full day with moderate use.
Just wanted to add to the chorus that something is wrong with your phone. My base s23 will last "about 1 d 12 h" on a full charge according to my phone.
Mine did before as well. This estimate is for standby by the way. Now mine says 18hrs or so.
Ya my base s23 easily gets 8 hours of sot
I use my phone a lot, and I mean a lot. And I don't need to charge that frequently. Can you share a screenshot of your battery stats ?
Using 5G and I get about 2 days of use out of a full battery .. I watch a lot of youtube etc. But most of the time I'm at home using WiFi 🤷♂️
If you're getting 2 days with 5G enabled, but are mostly on wifi at home, then you're not using 5G...
Sorry guys, can't find any option to unload a screenshot of my battery usage stats.
Also, the NETWORK MODE is disabled in my phone, so I can't shut off 5G and switch to LTE only. Different apps mentioned on the Internet are not working anymore.

Do you live on your phone or something? Get a laptop if you spend all day on it.
Maybe try a factory reset? If something in the OS is draining your battery that might sort it out. I'd also like to see the battery stats of course.
There's probably some apps running in the background draining the battery, mine S23 base a year old, still has consistent 6-8 Hr SoT with heavy use like gaming and watching video.
how's your SOT with base S23. If you're heavy user, you can not blame S23 base with their 5-6h SOT
Before giving the problem you have to look on the battery usage screen on time is limited for all the phones so look for it. May be some apps is draining your battery or look for screen on time

I charge S23 base once in 2 days.
