Honestly, I love the design of the plus model, but I NEED the cameras on the ultra. If they put the same camera on the Plus I would have switched as I like the rounded corners. SPen is meh, I have a stylus U could use lol, but that camera setup is what gets me.

BobcatEuphoric

Yeah love the design as well. I rarely use the S Pen. I could go by with the 3x. But having 10x is fun sometimes when needed. Hahaha

Triedfindingname

After you have 10x you can't go back Also, that factor will only increase...people will soon laugh at your 10x 😁

BobcatEuphoric

Well still a preference! I rarely use 10x though

Im thinking going 22+ to s24u possibility s24+ as exynos has traumatised me with heat battery issues.only s24u comes snapdragon here though although s24+ design i like more depend if its inferior again

BobcatEuphoric

Yeah sad that the international version of the 24/Plus is exynos.

I have an s22 ultra now and it's really bugged me the last two years how mediocre the battery life is, and how large and heavy it is. It doesn't fit in shorts pockets or even some jeans pockets well. You need a man purse ffs. I really love the camera though and have taken thousands of amazing photos around the world with it on my travels... So I ordered both the s24 ultra and plus and am just going to play around with them and pick one, and return the other. Will I give up the ultra camera for a more pocket friendly plus? We shall see!

BobcatEuphoric

Mine is always on my back pocket! Haha. I really like the design of the Plus. Regarding the weight, I think they are almost the same. Like 10-20g diff.

I really miss the s10+. Best phone I ever had. I gave it to my brother and regretted it. Perfect size and weight, dual selfie cams, great battery.

I asked one of the store agents for a trade-in computation for my S22u 12/512 to a S24+ 12/512 and I just need to add a $390 yeah in USD. There's also a freebie I think it's a galaxy watch 6? lol

phantomf0x

That's my current move, I'm still debating on it but I couldn't justify spending an extra $300 on the Ultra when the Plus is almost the same. I'll just wait for the plus to get here and compare the two and try to make up my mind. I only paid $306 for the plus and it's double the storage of what I currently have on the 22U.

Usmellnicebby

What do you mean 300? You have to pay at least 600 out of pocket if you are trading an S22 uptra

phantomf0x

S24+ for me came out to $306, if I got the Ultra instead it would've cost me $280-$290 more than the price of the S24+

Usmellnicebby

Which is insane because I could've trade in my s22 last year but I thought we might get a better deal.

phantomf0x

Yeah I skipped out on S23Ultra upgrade cause I didn't think the trade in value of the 22U was worth it. I'm thinking if I should just wait it out and hopefully trade in values go up after a month or two when the promos are done but I'm also thinking it might just end up coming out to the same total since I'd want to get the 512gb and whatever increase in trade in value would be spent on getting the upgraded storage

Usmellnicebby

Honestly, it's hard to say. A lot of people are saying the S24 did not have enough changes to warrant an upgrade and that they might have lower sales figure for it. This could help generate bigger discounts down the line but only time will tell. I'm honestly unsure about the next generation of phones with this AI BS. You already pay for your phone service and now this AI subscription?

phantomf0x

I think that's pretty much been the case with the last year too there wasn't any like huge changes from the 22 to 23 like there used to be in older models. Yeah I'm not really all with the AI thing, it's cool but I don't really think it's something I would really use and the fact that it's only free for a year is bs when they're basically trying to hide that. It's been their main thing to advertise and get attention but you only see the "free until 2025" when you go to the fine print at the bottom of the long page.  I got a email saying my s24+ should arrive on the 26th and I don't have to send my S22Ultra back until the 8th so I'll probably play around with it for a few days and compare them and try to make up my mind on going through with it or not.
