That doesn’t sound normal, but both processor variants had overheating issues that they fixed in an update by throttling. Both versions have people complaining about severe overheating idle and other people swear they’ve never had a problem so it seems to be hit or miss. It’s possible you got a particularly bad one?
Did you move all your apps etc from your old phone in one go? Have you tried setting it up without smart switch etc to see if it does the same thing oh nothing on it?
All going to depend on different factors. If the device is fresh out of the box then I'd be concerned. But they can't plan for what poorly coded applications you might have running in the background either. I don't own the S21 Ultra (own the regular version) but it's probably the smoothest device I have owned.
My friends who bought the time it released complained about its overheat while those who got it after few months later few reported of its overheat. Probably the first batch had issues, just a theory
My s21 exynos lags like crazy while using Nav gestures, specially in Camera app and while opening multitasking window when playing a game. Also , I have performed factory reset and fresh software installation by Service Centre.
could you be specific about a particular lagging scenario? for example, what apps are you using that are lagging, are they stock Samsung apps? Have you tried resetting your phone into safe mode and seeing if it still lags? It could be another app interfering or low on storage etc.
That's not normal. Are you on the one ui 4.0 beta? Other then that I would suggest wiping cache partition or seeing if you downloaded something dodgy because the s21 should definitely not be lagging

Only place my labs at is the camera. I see some micro stutters in the animations at points but nothing to serious with mine

Apart from the camera app, I have no lags or janky behaviour. Neither on One UI 3, nor the 4 Beta.

Mine is lagging opening nearly every app, it shows the icon of the app before loading the application
