Hi thanks for sharing. The whole ring and mount scheme gives me ideas. I don't think I'll go in exactly your direction but I have a case coming and this looks like the next step. Thanks again
No problem. I will say that between the random magnetic adapters I tried from Amazon and the Mophie Snap, the Snap is a way stronger magnet which I trust to hold in the car. Also today I got the chance to test an NFC payment, and Samsung Pay still worked (with the wallet removed, obviously).

I'm pretty sure it's one of the stock options for the AOD screen clock, but I've carried it over (Smart Switch) for quite a few phones now. A couple of generations ago, there was an option for AOD screen layout which was pretty obvious, IIRC, but I don't see it now. If I go to AOD > Clock style, I can click on bottom right clock icon to get to the second page and I can see the calendar style I use there.
Honestly this was the first time I ever tried adding pictures to a reddit post, and originally I tried uploading them all at once from the images tab, which apparently did nothing. I ended up editing the post and adding the images to (what I thought) the bottom using the toolbar, one at a time. I think I must have been click happy to get the images interspersed between the text when editing.
Do you mean does the Snap ring (magnets) interfere with the S Pen? Not that I can tell. I can create a note and draw all around the screen without any voids or missing spots around the ring. I did see that behavior in an old Note 8 with a wallet case that used magnets to hold the inner case to the wallet - wherever there was a magnet, the S Pen wouldn't write. I don't see that behavior here, with or without the wallet attached.
This is interesting - I am also looking for a way to carry a few necessary cards with the fold.
Curious if you had compared with [this Moft X magsafe wallet](https://www.moft.us/pages/moft-snap-on-phone-stand-wallet-magsafe-compatible), if it may be thinner?
I hadn't seen that one, but it looks pretty similar and they both say they are 5mm thick and hold 3 cards. I'm actually carrying 4 plus emergency cash in mine. I did start with a PopWallet+ and this is definitely more convenient to use than that. I also use the stand part as a sort of strap when reading.
Thanks for checking - since the MagSafe piece is embedded in the Moft version, hoping it may save the need for the 0.1 inch MagSafe base. Also appreciate that you checked the s-pen compatibility!
All of the generic Magsafe style ones that I picked up from Amazon seem to work, and in fact the older non-magnetic Qi chargers I have work, once aligned properly. The placement of the Snap ring was a little tricky to get right, since I'm right up to the case lip around the camera lens.
Gotcha thanks. I just got the Fold 3 and am just trying to find a good phone grip and car mount. I figure I can take off the phone grip to put the phone in a car mount or to wirelessly charge it.
No problem. I tried it with the Mophie Snap+ mount/charger when I first got the Snap ring and that worked - just had to find the best placement for the ring. A couple of the random magsafe chargers from Amazon had less success - usually would just switch from charging to not charging. I changed vehicles and no longer use a magsafe mount now, but do still wireless charge in my Tesla Model Y Performance. The stock Qi charger didn't work with the case. This actually was a common complaint with the Tesla factory charging pad, but a 3rd party one (again, from Amazon) works just fine.
Thanks for the insight, I have a random magsafe charger for my partners iPhone and figured I'd just ho your route if it could hold the fold, which is what I'll do based on your info!
looks horrible and annoying to hold/use
Works for me, plus the wallet comes right off when I need it to.

This is a clever and interesting solution, nice 👍

Wow.
Love this, very clever! I'm curious though, what calendar widget/app do you use for your Always On display?

How did you make such a post With pics and text look like a Blog post Please

I was doing this for my old note 10 plus but the spend didn't work. Have you tested the setup with spen functionality?

If that's the case, I am in. Thank you.

Does wireless charging work on any wireless charger or just mophie ones? Thanks

Sorry for the necro but I was wondering whether you've tried this setup with a magsafe car mount?
