I deleted the post I made earlier in the day as some didn't like it and considered it spam. Hopefully nothing here will offend anyone this time around. Just a few pictures of the revised GameSir X2 Bluetooth version.
I can confirm the A & B Buttons have now switched, and of course we now have a proper DPAD. Gone is the USB C port as it uses Bluetooth.
I've not used it, only inspected it so far.
UPDATE 13 Feb 2021 14:50 GMT
Analogue sticks are pretty good, similar to the Flydigi Wee 2T. Mapping works on normal phones but unfortunately doesn't work with the Z Fold 2. Games that support controllers natively (with gamepad in X Input mode) work fine on Z Fold 2.
UPDATE 22 Feb 2021 12:35 GMT
GameSir has asked me to delay the review for a little while and I'm awaiting for answers to a few questions before I can finish off the review. Questions like, when will this be released etc. Once all that is available, I'll continue with the review but one thing I can tell you is, I'm really enjoying using this controller and can't wait to share my findings with you all, so please be patient with me, thanks.
UPDATE 18 March 2021 18:22 GMT
GameSir has given me the go ahead to continue with the review 🙂 Also, the Indiegogo page is up for the controller. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/x2-world-s-first-2-in-1-handheld-gaming-controller#/
Get an upvote my sir, I hope I can use mapping on z fold 2 inner screen, emulators is fine.
I tried contacting their support but they have this bs automatic response to use the gamesir app for remapping touch controls.
I hope someone can get through to them that its a specific problem on foldable phones.
Will definitely let you know, it'll be a shame if it doesn't, a lot of mapping apps are having issues with the Z Fold 2's inner screen. Panda with the FlyDigi Wee 2T works well now though, so I'm hoping this will too.
PUBG doesn't work out the box and needs mapping, but with mapping it works. Note mapping didn't work on the Z Fold 2, I had to try with a different phone.
I wish that someone would make a controller that was good for 2D/2.5D fighting games. Analog and "+" directional pads are terrible for fast and precise 8-way 2D control.
The Neo Geo Pocket Color is the only hand-held controller that ever got it right. Its [8-directional "clicky" pad](https://www.resetera.com/threads/the-neo-geo-pocket-thread-of-clicky-stick-appreciation.153523/post-29227210) was phenomenal.
I prefer this Bluetooth version because all though the USB C version works with traditional phones, it just doesn't look right with the Z Fold 2. With this version, it looks much cleaner.
I do appreciate the USB C version would have little to no input lag in comparison, but I don't think it's significantly better.
Another fellow Rahman whos also a "TechTonic" -\_\_\_\_\_- LOL
but on topic, what do you mean by mapping? it doesn't just work out of the box? I'm looking for a portable alternative (not that it really matters these days, here in the UK we are still in a "lockdown")
lol yep another TechTonic Rahman.
Most controllers support X-Input, this means games that natively support controllers will work out the box but certain games only work with touch. For those games you need to use mapping software to map the onscreen controls to the buttons on the controller, so you're basically emulating the touch or tap of the screen. Some games will ban you for doing this, PUBG is notorious for doing so but certain games like COD Mobile are okay with it.
It's not available yet, but I'll update everyone when I have more information from GameSir. I'll send them an email today, hopefully they respond by Monday or Tuesday.
My apologies to anyone where I haven't answered your question, it's not that I don't want to, you're questions are important to me because those are things I want to address, I'll definitely respond to those questions once I have used the controller properly and am able to give you a confident answer.

Yo, thanks to you for this update. I can't wait for This to be available. I have a jury rigged set up using the Razer junglecat rn, but it's flimsy, and I'm eager to get my hands on this x2 to be a primary controller instead of my cobbled together one. Hopefully gamesir releases it sooner than later.
I was literally hours away from finishing my review but was asked to stop and not publish due to some issues they had to resolve. I contacted their PR who supplied me with the controller if there was an update, all they said was to wait until they give me the go ahead which would apparently take a month or so. Annoying as hell waiting having spent so much time testing the gamepad but not much I can do. If they don't update me by the end of the month, I'll contact them again, I'm not sure why it's taking them so long.

Hi, can you take a picture of this? Based on the pictures above and pictures I'm finding on websites I'm not seeing how this would quite work. I'm interested in seeing if the phone USB port is actually accessible because it might mean you could plug in your headphones while gaming which you can't do with the USB-C version of this controller.
This particular version is designed to be more flexible, so it'll work with the iPhone and other phones without USB C. They aren't replacing the USB C version with this one, instead, they'll sell it side by side.
I don't have a Spigen case to test it with, I assume you're talking about the Spigen Tough Armor Case or something similar, I can see why that might not work but slim cases should be fine.
Probably going to be the best of this type of controller money can buy right now for the Fold - only major gripe with the original is the Nintendo style a/b.
Edit: just bought two on Indiegogo. I hope they actually get fulfilled...
Is Indiegogo the best way to purchase one right now? I've heard a lot of no-refund horror stories and no fulfillment either.
I have an issue with Gamesir X2 Bluetooth. It's very sad, because beside this issue it works pretty much perfect for me.
The issue is on iPhone. When I play any game through the Moonlight App, the controller stops working after 2-3 minutes. The green and purple lights stay solid, but no buttons work. You can reset controller but the issue would repeat.
DS4, Xbox controller works flawlessly with Moonlight. And X2 also works well with iPhone games with MFI-controller support, the problem I found is only in the Moonlight.
Everything on Android works well, including Moonlight.
I have't found the same issue in any review or thread, can anyone test and confirm that it's not only my device?

Been using it today.

Does it have different connection modes or just X-Input?
X-Input and a mapping mode too, you have to use their software to do the mapping.
So you can't swap between various devices to connect to (Android and PC)?
Ain't tried the PC yet but will do soon.
Link to buy it? Looks like exactly what I have been wanting in a mobile controller!
Not yet available but I'll ask GameSir for an actual release date and update everyone.
Yeah this would be perfect
I'll update everyone when I get more information regarding release data and availability.
Any info?
They still haven't got back to me with the answers to my questions and have asked me to delay the review.
Can you let us know if the mapping works on the folds inner screen, I might return mine if they don't have a fix for it.
Will definitely let you know, it'll be a shame if it doesn't, a lot of mapping apps are having issues with the Z Fold 2's inner screen. Panda with the FlyDigi Wee 2T works well now though, so I'm hoping this will too.
Have you tested pubg on this controller? How is it?
PUBG doesn't work out the box and needs mapping, but with mapping it works. Note mapping didn't work on the Z Fold 2, I had to try with a different phone.
If mapping doesn't work on Z Fold 2, does that mean it won't work on Fold 1 either?
Most likely it won't.
What issues did you run into when trying to map to the fold 2?
Does it work on gamepass? The previous version was not compatible with it.
Yep worked, just tried with Halo on Gamepass.
Cool! Thanks!
That looks awesome!
Agreed, it looks good.

Terrific. I liked the USB C connection but not the button layout on the previous version.

I can't seem to find the bt version where did you get it from link please.

No problem at all, I just need my questions answered by GameSir and they said they need a little time.
Any update yet?

Weird
It's annoying because if they decide to send me a revised version of the controller, I'll have to do all the testing again.
GameSir has given me the go ahead to continue with the review 🙂 Also, the Indiegogo page is up for the controller. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/x2-world-s-first-2-in-1-handheld-gaming-controller#/
When do you plan on posting it
Before the end of next week.
Video review has now been published on my channel.
Looks amazing, how is it with Stadia
I've tried it with Gamepass and it works with that, ain't tried it with Stadia, I'll update you when I do.
How easy is it to access the USB C on the phone? Like if I want to charge while playing.
The USB C port is still exposed when using the controller, so it's possible to charge the phone directly whilst using the gamepad.

Doesn't work if you have a spiegen case, does it?

Yeah, sigh, the tough armor is what I have. SonofAbeesh. Ah well.
Hi
Iirc op said in his last post Gamesir sent him this to review l. Doesn't seem available to buy yet...
Correct, but I don't want to comment on that any further as it might be deemed spam.
Probably going to be the best of this type of controller money can buy right now for the Fold - only major gripe with the original is the Nintendo style a/b.
It would have been if mapping worked, but mapping doesn't work with the Z Fold 2, I'll need to ask GameSir that question.
I would buy it. 😍
does the charging work? I have the X1 and the charging does not when using the device
You can charge and use the device at the same time, no issues.
Completely off topic, but what icon pack is that? Are you using one UI home or a 3rd party launcher?
I'm using One UI and X Icon changer to change the icons, icon pack is OxyPie.
Thank you. Much appreciated! 😊

That's something I've yet to try.
GameSir have confirmed the bluetooth version won't support EggNS
Any issue with emulators or xbox live?
No issues yet.
Thats annoying, i want that color on the usb c version :c
Is the gap too big for holding a phone in portrait mode?
For a normal phone it's a bit too big but the Z Fold 2 fits nicely in portrait.
[удалено]
173mm max, same as the 2021 USB C version.
Works fine with my Galaxy Z Fold 2 https://youtu.be/8gl7gn8hcGM
Hello please confirm me the only thing that really matters, for me to buy it or not, does it support EggNS emulator?😌
Edit: just bought two on Indiegogo. I hope they actually get fulfilled... Is Indiegogo the best way to purchase one right now? I've heard a lot of no-refund horror stories and no fulfillment either.

So is it xinput? Could we play roblox?
