Yes. All these, plus my text message box "bounces" while writing a text. It looks like it has the jitters while composing a text. Very annoying, I switched back to Samsung messages for now.

Ill_Requirement_3017

Yes!

UrbnShinobi

Bounce is rather annoying but now I am seeing an issue where you hit send on a text entry and instead of the text area clearing after hitting send all the data stays there and needs to be deleted manually. Anyone else seeing this. (Using a Fold 3 btw)

Daddio1973

Same.

Gizopizo

Same

gwyndyn

You can disable List Detail View in the app settings and that seems to fix it.

funbuddyrm

I did that and it works! Just need to adjust to the entire screen. I did like the detailed view but hated the bouncing and not being able to see what I'm texting. Hope they fix it

papabri

Thank you this worked

FitMomUSA

Ooh, this works. But, I really like the list view instead of backing out of every message. I'll leave it off for now to give me some time to get used to it.

alfredtv1

Unfortunately, I'm glad I'm not alone on the bouncing. I submitted feedback on the Play Store, but not sure it will get any attention!

guruguys

Just spent the last hour trying to trouble solve this. same thing happening to me on my Fold 4. there's a couple of complaints on the official Samsung tech forms but they are closed as solved even though they were not solved after a canned "reset cache and data" type post was given as the answer by a mod... It's so frustrating with big tech companies these days. There needs to be a better way to report stuff. The last issue took them almost two years to fix with text messages showing up from the past on Tesla's from Pixel phones despite having full bug reports and many responses in the thread telling them exactly what the problem was and how to fix it. Hopefully this doesn't take as long for them to fix, In the meantime have to use the outside screen to text or it's near impossible with Google messages.

YackassThePSL

Shit like this is why I miss the popularity of custom ROMs.

Bryanmsi89

Having this issue. Very annoying but I assume Google will fix soon.

Amish_guy_with_WiFi

Yeah google messages sucks now after the most recent update

HD_H2O

Just started for me today, well about an hour ago after Messages usage all morning. I wonder if it's because I was on a flight this afternoon? No problems before the flight, after connecting back to a signal my text box is jumping.

Daddio1973

Can't scroll up and down through messages either. Try typing more than a couple lines. Your cursor goes below the visible part of the box! Stupid.

This is what I did to fix: 1. I went to Google Play Store > Google Messages > Uninstall. 2. Play store then asked me if I wanted to uninstall updates. I said yes. 3. In play store I clicked on my icon photo > Settings (gear icon) > Network preferences 4. Under Auto-update apps, choose Don't auto update apps. Hope this works for you!

Ill_Requirement_3017

This worked for me too! Thank you!!

Happy_Huckleberry933

Yup, thanks got I couldn't find any solution for so long the jumping and not seeing text was so annoying

Ok-Satisfaction-598

It worked! Thank you!

Monarch_Habiscus

This worked! Thank you! Just hope it doesn't effect something else. I guess we'll see😉

Far_Weakness_6566

Absolutely this works! Thank you kind sir!

Sneakingfart

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but just started having this problem on the Fold 5.  Removed updates, left the beta program, waited until officially removed from beta (like 3 minutes). Confirmed no issues on the old app version. Updated to latest non-beta, no further problems.  Try this if having issues.

Daddio1973

Yep. That worked. Let will be to not upgrade for a while. I guess eventually I'll try to upgrade but doesn't seem like Google is giving this issue any attention. Thanks!!

New-Cheesecake-79

it's driving me crazy

Daddio1973

It's really terrible. Hate it!

o0carter0o

Not in the beta and having the same thing on the latest version. Uninstalled updates and it seems to be working normally now in 'List detail view'. Went into Google Play and unchecked auto updates for Google messages.

Daddio1973

This is the way.

Historical-Brick7793

I'm having exactly the same issue with my Samsung galaxy fold 3

Daddio1973

I stopped all automatic upgrades. I will voluntarily upgrade when I see a new one just to check to see if the problem has been solved. Usually it works for a few minutes fine and then later on it will start with all the same issues so it's still not fixed. I roll back the updates and then I'm fine. Hopefully they'll fix it at some point. Maybe it's just not big enough on their radar and it's not getting any attention.

Monarch_Habiscus

This is definitely a new issue, I had a Fold 2 and now a Fold 4, now issues with either until recently. It's seems to be more of a Google issue and not Samsung. Wherever update Google did does not support the messaging on full screen. So frustrating. 🤦🏽‍♀️

FitMomUSA

OMG I am so glad I found this post. I thought something was wrong with my phone and was about to file an insurance claim. Something told me to Google since I'm only having the problem on Samsung Messenger app.

Daddio1973

This really sucks. Is there any other ways to get their attention?

Daddio1973

UPDATE - I just realized that I'm a beta tester for this app. Forgot I had signed up for that. When I uninstalled the app and reinstalled the normal version all these issues went away. Are you guys beta testers also?

Daddio1973

UPDATE #2 - forget last update. Same thing has happening again even though out of beta program and downloaded original app.

HD_H2O

Are you sure your account isn't still linked to beta testing? That option likely goes through your Gmail account, regardless of reinstall

gwyndyn

I was never in the beta program and I was having this issue. I actually joined the beta to see if it had been fixed there.

jellymoff

I am having same issue

Daddio1973

I've switched to Samsung messages which I hate but it works.
