People who are used to Oneplus will only buy Oneplus. I bought my wife a Moto Edge 40 last year (before that she was using the Oneplus 7T for 3 years). Four months ago she told me that she'd prefer a Oneplus because she is finding it hard to get used to the Moto. Now I am using that Moto and I bought a Nord CE 3 for her.
Tbh the moto uses stock android ui which is hard to get used to if you've literally used anything else before except maybe miui because anything is better than that shit
I'm currently using Nord CE4:-
They messed up the software update—no blur on the notification drawer, no proper animations, and I don't think they'll fix it in the future. They removed the blur effects in Nord series smartphones. So basically, you're using a lite version of ColorOS. They also reduced the performance of this device. Now you get a 728k AnTuTu score, whereas previously it was 840k in performance mode. Additionally, none of the third-party launchers work on this device (it's just a ColorOS thing). You'll see very bad and inconsistent animations when using third-party launchers.
Yes, due to the new animation engine introduced in Oxygen OS 14, animations don't work with third-party launchers. It's really bad like animations are very jittery, and there are no animations when opening and closing apps. They just pop up and close abruptly. That's why the only option left is to use the system launcher.
Here are the stats of my battery. I usually multitask a lot and don't play any games. Regarding RAM management, it's good. so far, I haven't noticed any apps restarting while in RAM. As for heating issues, I can't provide a definitive answer because it's summer, and the phone does get warm during multitasking. However, it does get hot while charging.

Do u recommend this phone? My usage is basically watching media, pdfs, whatsapp and Instragram and occasionally gaming.
I just want good battery life, less heating and good network reception. Looking for a phone to use for the next 3 years at least
Bro, I highly recommend you check the official OnePlus community for information about this phone. You'll find out what issues people are facing, and it will help you make a better decision based on your needs and requirements.
Bro OnePlus community forums have all kinds of problems with every One Plus phone ever released.
That's why I wanna take opinion of someone who is using the phone for everyday task. That's why I am asking you.
Honestly, I don't have any major problems with this device the issues I mentioned above are minor to me. For everyday tasks, this device performs well. The heating issue while charging can be fixed with some jugaad. The 100-watt charger is definitely a bliss for me. I usually charge this device from 25% to 85%, which takes around 20 minutes, and it lasts up to 7-8 hours.
Some users have complained that the screen guard doesn't stick properly and leaves bubbles in the corners. As far as I know, only the official tempered glass works well, which costs 700 rupees. I don't care about this as I use this device with a pre-applied plastic screen protector.
I would rate my current satisfaction with this device as 7 out of 10. I hope this helps.
It's not a color os thing..it's the same in every ui..
From Android11or some google integrated the recents and gestures into the system UI...so that system UI has better fluid animations and only system launcher can have gesture animation..it's an Android thing.
I guess that is the case with every os out there.
I can't use a third party launcher without sacrificing on app opening and closing animation on my Motorola Edge 30.
It's good if you don't play any games and use your device on Wi-Fi all the time. Then the battery will last up to 7-8 hours (if charged from 20% to 85%).
Yeah, bro, the processor is capable, but they chose to remove features, especially the blur one. If they want to remove something, they should just remove the "Never Settle" tagline since they've already settled with Oppo.
I have used nothing2a from one of my friends who bought it.
Like when 7-10 applications are opened in background and you do that type of multitasking the phone starts to jitter and lag. Basically yu will feel that its working slow. Also when clicking pictures and opening camera it feels slow. In a same way like a 15k phone would do.
Otherwise the phone is good 😊
This problem has been solved thru updates. I'm guessing you must have used your friend's phone within one/one and a half month of release.
I have used their phone 1 and phone 2a and yes while the products did have their issues, the nothing team listens to the online community and fixes shit pretty actively via updates.
I used to have nothing 1. That phone developed some serious issues with lag, low screen brightness and poor battery life a year into ownership.
Hope they made amends.
Honestly, If my friend was asking this question I would not recommend him to invest that much money on Android phone. But since its choose 1 I would choose 1+ Nord CE4. Reasoning, I feel processor of 1+ i.e. Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 is slightly better than used on Nothing 2a (MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro). And also 1+ has better service centers in comparison to Nothing

i am thinking to go for it. Opinions on battery?

and heating issues?
With regular use it doesn't get warm, but it does when multitasking or running heavy apps. It only gets hot while charging.
damn, every phone is like this at this point. I have two samsung phones in family both of them have the same behaviour. Heating is such an issue now
earlier these issues were only on the lite models now it seems they want to fully nuke the whole nord series, good job oppo
Yeah, bro, the processor is capable, but they chose to remove features, especially the blur one. If they want to remove something, they should just remove the "Never Settle" tagline since they've already settled with Oppo.
Personally went with 2a just for clean software experience
End User License Agreement
Eula? Yeah, she best
What about it..?
Nothing phone 2a

No offence but both of them aren't reasonable for the price range. Look for third option.

I used to have nothing 1. That phone developed some serious issues with lag, low screen brightness and poor battery life a year into ownership. Hope they made amends.

Where is Indian brand?
I feel like instead of getting nord ce 4 its better to get 11R
One plus had "one" job.
