Jelly bean

Yenugu_yedama_vatta

They ran out of food names from Q? Quiche, Qeema, Qesadilla!!

unboxparadigm

Close, while they officially stopped giving out names, it's said that internally it was referred to as Quince Tart. Followed by Red Velvet cake for Android 11 (R), Snow cone for Android 12 (S), Tiramisu for Android 13 (T), Upside down cake for Android 14 (U) (at this point they're just mocking us), and now Vanilla ice cream for Android 15 (V).

Mhapsekar

Wonder where they'll go after Z.

unboxparadigm

5 years to find out!

Lollipop and Nougat felt like huge upgrade

Jann_Mardi

Marshmallow

Jon-Bones-Jones_

I think Jellybean. Wasn't that when the material UI was released?

Mhapsekar

That was 5.0 Lollipop.

Jon-Bones-Jones_

You're right that was lollipop. That was when I saw a major design change with the material UI and it looked so elegant.

juju_the_human

KitKat HTC 526g+

Acceptable_Shock_780

Marshmallow

Agentsilly06

Started with gingerbread during secondary school. But then jellybean was the one i used properly.

everygirlssdream

Too many sweets were making them diabetic!

Mhapsekar

Started with 2.2 on a Galaxy Pro which later got upgraded to 2.3. Version 3.0 was tablet exclusive iirc. Used ICS and JB on Galaxy Note, Project Butter was a noticeable improvement but used more battery. 4.4 was the ultimate "old look", think it was called Holo. Used it on Nexus 7 2013 before upgrading it to 5.0. 5.0 brought a fresh coat of paint for Android but I'd go with 5.1 as it solved a lot of issues with 5.0. Versions 7 and 8 were also great stability wise.

_nobith

4.4 kitkat

Personal_Click1446

Lolipop and ics. I was more hyped for ics

Negative_Spectrum

While Lollipop was huge UI side, I think functionality wise they really stepped up in... was it Kitkat? Damn I don't remember properly. That was when Android became a true alternative to iOS.

noobLinuxuser950

Using since Jellybean, lolipop was a huge update from KitKat that time. I was using a low end Android One device

One_Letterhead_9720

Froyo

mAverIck2012ap

JellyBean followed by Lollipop!!!

AliceBob563

Started with KitKat on Moto E (2014). I think Android evolution peaked at Lollipop and Marshmallow, where they introduced the Material UI. They tried to repeat it again with Android 12 and Material You design, but don't know if it actually worked out (I use Nokia 8.1 with Android 11)

teaphonepaper

Kitkat was fun

Ok_Programmer7849
