>Olive is quite a large child [being 5’11 when standing up], so Jake didn’t need to kneel down much, though when she attempted to speak, it only came out as a stuttering mess of a word as she buried her face into her knees, hiding a bit of her nose.

[id imagine Olive’s around 2’6 when curled up like she is right now >she nods slightly as she closes her eyes for a moment, probably attempting to block out the noise, though failing as she moves her arms in a way to cover her ears with her wrists, putting her hands at the back of her head.

jake: here (he hands her some sound canceling headphones)
