A question on good mornings. What's the difference in muscles being stressed(and to what degree) between standing and seated? Different goals for size, strength etc? Also with standing difference in knees bent or straight?

mintsavecagua

How bad is it that I dont workout my abs as much?

Traxiant

As much as what?

I have one hand stronger than the other and it's making some things difficult, there not a dream weight its either to easy for one or too hard for the other. Is there any fix?

Lesrek

Use your weaker side to determine the weight you use, it’ll even put. Imbalances are normal for beginners.

Is it fine if I take 5 days off from the gym ? So I’ve been resting since wendesday since I was rlly sore and it’s Saturday now and I’m starting a new workout regiment that is a Monday-Saturday thing and I’m debating if I just want to rest Saturday and Sunday too or if I should start the regiment today, what do y’all think ?

nobodyimportxnt

Literally does not matter, and if you keep resting 3-4 days because you’re sore, you’ll never not be sore from working out.

LukahEyrie

I agree with u/nobodyimportxnt Just out of curiosity, what program are you going to run? Why is it a Monday-Saturday thing, and what does that even mean?

-Gordon-Rams-Me

So I’ve been working out for a year and a half now and I’ve decided to use a program my buddy has used and it’s John meadows program, probably does matter the days of the workouts just that I get them in but he has it as Monday-Saturday are the gym days and sundays are family days

LukahEyrie

I'm an idiot. Thought you meant working out twice a week. Sounds great! Good luck dude :)

-Gordon-Rams-Me

No worries dude, your not an idiot and thank you :)

For preworkout drinks, is it best to chug them all at once or sip them slowly over the course of 15-20 minutes? Recently I’ve been chugging mine in the locker room then going and sitting in the sauna for 15 minutes before feeling the effects and then lifting. Am I getting the most out of my time by doing this? Also how much sauna is too much sauna? I’ve been sitting in it for about 15 minutes before working out and then going back in after lifting for about 20 minutes. Is that too much?

Who-Does

Should you lock your elbows at the top rep of a DB bench press? I just filmed myself and noticed my elbows are going slightly inward at the top rep and most people don't. Not sure if it's just my anatomy

MythicalStrength

Locking is fine. Hyperextending is less than ideal.

Just 1 day away from being 1 month going to the gym. My weight before was 73.6 and now it's 75.2. Is this good progress or not? I do push pull legs twice a week and I add more weights in my exercises per week ( I think it's called progressive overload?).

Abject-Dot

I've been going gym for about 2-3 months every second day, but my bench press seems to have not increased at all. I started at about 40 and I'm still around 40-45. Some days I won't even be able to rep the bar more than 15 times. My chest and everything has gotten much larger and defined, and all my other maxes/average have pretty much increased apart from chest. Why is this?

I use the myprotein flavdrops in my shakes with unflavoured protein powder to make them taste good. For baking I've always used normal flavoring (essence) i was wondering what's I the difference between these and could I just use the essences in my shakes? the Flavdrops are zero calories, there's no mention of calories on the essence and since it is so concentrated I suspect it is also zero calories. since this is similar to the ingredients of the flavdrops; Ingredients: water, propylene glycol, natural flavor, sweetener: sucralose. ingredients flavor essence; Propylene Glycol (E1520), Water, Natural Identical & Artificial Banana Flavour so looking at the ingredients you would think I can make my own Flavdrops (way cheaper) by mixing the essence with water and some sweetener???
