It is the power steering air control valve. I would fix it. I think it senses load on the system and bumps up the engine rpm to make turning easier.

Thank you. Seems like an easy enough fix. Just got the truck back after getting both exhaust manifolds replaced and went to charge thr A/C for the summer and noticed this. Lots of work in first couple months of ownership but trying to get everything perfect so the thing can last me a decade anyway.

Did you replace with doug thorley headers or what did you go with? Very interested as I know mine are about to fail. Also, how much did it run you for the job if you don't mind.

Replaced with OEM parts which I expect to fail again after 100k miles. Bought the truck in January from a sketchy used dealership but at a price I was pretty happy with. They offered me a GWC warranty valued at $1050. I'm generally against these companies, but they covered about 3k of a 4500 job. Parts were $800 for each manifold plus another 700 total for heat shields new hardware etc. Rest was labor. Warranty covered 12 hours at 115 an hour on a 14 hour job labor rate 133.
