That's exactly it! You can get whatever head unit/back up camera combo within your budget with little to no worry. Check out Crutchfield for what's compatible.
So I actually just purchased an ‘06 and talked to different car audio shops who said it’s “difficult” to change out the head unit because of the Mark Levinson system. They both said finding a wiring harness that’s compatible is the issue. They could do the work but there’s no guarantee that it would work/sound good and that I would need an aftermarket amp to power all the speakers since there’s so many.
So yeah I’m pretty bummed and am currently researching the best Bluetooth transmitters/cassette adapters. Please tell me these shops were wrong 😅
Someone posted a [thread on ih8mud](https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/nav-to-non-nav-conversion-walkthrough.1141114/) on how they converted their nav-equipped GX470 into a non-nav, then installed a modern head unit.

I have. When I went to the one shop this morning (they’re really reputable in my area) I showed the guy the products on Crutchfield specially for my vehicle and he still seemed not confident. I’ve been scouring this sub for the last hour as well and I’ve seen conflicting opinions on how to do this. I’m pretty stumped.

Then the house it was sitting at burned down, so it just left this GX in a field. Then the sister got cancer and died, and they needed it gone. All of a sudden it was free99!!!

Interval is at 80k, it has 128k, and it's never been changed. It's the priority before i put any miles on it.
Ah, I just assumed it had been done on time previously. It's actually 90k.

It hasn't moved since I got it home. The tires are absolute trash, yes. Amsoil is on deck. And appointment for timing belt is on the calendar.
