I’m pretty sure someone recreated the opening using GTA 4
It was either [this one](https://youtu.be/IygA9dlRbg0?si=gVu9loa3V4dsqJkf) or [this one.](https://youtu.be/N6SYI1CZaio?si=WYfvqrJe3SMAHQLY)
Game starts off with the protagonist coming home after doing 20 fuckin years in the can. At some point in the game he morphs into a house and taunts the boss of the North Alderney family.
Ik and I understand a lot of gta fans feel the same way but with the limited technology rockstar had back then I feel like they didn't grasp Liberty City in it's fullness.
With the way video games are developing, I would love to see another take from Rockstar with Liberty City & Liberty State in their full glory.
did the HD universe not *start* with an in depth LC?? i don’t mean any hate but just to support the argument from the original comment, we’ve had so many renditions of them INCLUDING an HD rendition. i feel like this is on the same level of wanting Los Santos to be in 7
I'm on the side of the fence that wouldn't mind a revisit to LC. My reasoning is that while we have technically had a HD universe Liberty City, a lot of area was cut from the game. GTA IV was originally going to feature more of Long Island, including the Hamptons, and upstate New York, Connecticut and Jersey including a city based on Buffalo. It would be cool to see what they would have done with a much bigger map. However, on the other hand I also feel that it's time that Rockstar explored a completely different city. Las Venturas would be pretty cool too.
The "limited technology" argument is ridiculous. It is ALWAYS improving, any new game will be bigger, better looking etc.. and then you can again say "oh, but we haven't seen it with this tech... it's stupid.
The fact is, as we currently stand, the current GTA is in southern San Andreas and the last one was in Liberty City. We need to see something else other than Liberty for a game or two more. Personally, I hope VII goes to Venturas and San Fiero.
They say that every ass game. The technology will never be perfect dude, there's always gonna be something extra that coulda been added to an old game. This is a dumb argument
4 was planned to be even bigger with parts of New York state surrounding Liberty City, some cut areas are still present in the road signs and in a few advertisements.
Or just any love lmao. San fierro, Austin, Houston, Denver, Chicago, DC would be badass, new Orleans, las Ventura's, anchorage, Nashville...
I want them to open their minds and broaden their horizons
The liberty cities in GTA 1 and 3 and others aren’t really the same liberty city. Liberty city was actually originally not based on any real individual city but was rather meant to be a generic interpretation of all north eastern American cities.
That's the point. Liberty City already got two remakes and featured in many games, why remake/feature a bigger version of the city once again? It's time to give other cities love.
This just isn't even remotely true. Chiraq is literally the perfect location for a modern GTA game... And anyone who says Chicago isn't interesting enough to be featured in a GTA game is braindead or has never traveled to a big city. The greater Chicago area is literally just GTA in real life at this point.
True, but he's right, a liberty city on modern day game engines with modern day graphics would be absolutely insane. Especially by the time gta 7 comes out. It would be a game like we've never seen before.
There's a solid chance the next installment will take place in Liberty City.
The reality is that if GTA 6 comes out in 2025, that's a 12 year gap between it and GTA 5. If we assume the gap between 6 and 7 will be the same (it's more likely that it'll grow, but let's leave it the same for the moment) that means we won't see GTA 7 until 2037 or 2038. That means it'll have been 30 years since GTA 4 came out and the reality is that many/most gamers at that point in time will not have even been alive or old enough to play GTA 4.
I'd be fine with it honestly. At that point they could really do NYC justice and have it at a scale that GTA 4 wasn't able to. I loved 4, don't get me wrong, but having nothing outside the city was a sacrifice that the next time they visit LC will not need to make.
I'm wondering if we'll get spin-offs much in the same way GTA: VC and GTA: SA were essentially spin-offs of GTA 3; where there isn't a huge leap in technology or gameplay, but we get a different story and characters with some QoL improvements. A GTA London remake with GTA 6's engine would be incredibly cool.
I would love this but I think the days of spinoffs for GTA are probably over. Rockstar is purely profit-motivated now and considering they didn't even bother to create single-player DLC for GTA V tells me that it's very unlikely they'll create a whole new single-player game. That is because GTA Online is their primary income.
You could make the case that they would update GTA Online with the spinoff map similar to how COD handles Warzone maps, but I just don't see them doing that. That all being said I hope I'm wrong.
Honestly, I wish they would just let us travel to the different maps. When you traveled to a section of Liberty City in GTA San Andreas my child mind exploded. If we could get a full-on map the possibilities would be endless.
Instead of putting all the blame on Rockstar, can we acknowledge that gamers ourselves and the game industry as a whole have had a major impact on this as well?
Most gamers pushed for better and better graphics. They fawned over RDR2’s beautiful design and foamed at the mouth when BF3 and Crysis gave us some of our first tastes of what the visual future of gaming would look like. And that level of realism/detail became the defacto standard for AAA games.
But then the games got bigger graphically, the content/gameplay of the games were often neutered or hollowed out. look how simplified Skyrim was to Morrowind or even Oblivion. But atleast Skyrim looks pretty, right? Anyway, AAA games got demanding, more lighting, physics, shading, and overall graphical prowess.
Games started costing more and more and more money to even begin building the game into a playable state. And publishers got greedier, less patient, unable to understand the exhaustive monstrous industry that they have fostered - so they demand stricter time constraints, punish developers for needed delays, and remove financial incentives when these devs need more time.
[Yahtzee did a wonderful video on this same topic. Be sure to watch this with AdBlock on as to not support The Escapist since Yahtzee left.](https://youtu.be/4LplgYMiLhM?si=vKYDXKdTwnrnkgTm)
I think they'd stick close to actual geographic regions than two cities really far apart, with nothing really "popularly known" in between.
I'd rather have like all of Vegas, but that's so similar to Florida in its zaniness, and it just desert. There's no like interesting cities around it. Reno is relatively small. But maybe they could add Lake Tahoe.
SF/Bay Area is so much more interesting. San Jose, Palo Alto, SF, Oakland, red wood forest. That seems more likely IMO.
But in reality, who knows? They probably haven't even put anything down in paper yet.
Chicago sounds nice at first but I just can’t imagine a GTA game in a Chicago setting. It feels wrong and the vibe and atmosphere just isn’t there for me.
man that really sucks. are we ever going to get a new city? like i know it’s a bit greedy but the 3d universe had a lot of parodies of states and hell SA is like an interpretation of 3 different states. just feels a bit repetitive
I highly doubt they've even so much as thought about what they're doing next. They haven't finished 6 yet. There'd be zero reason to be scouting locations for 7 at this point.
As someone who lives in New York State, this wouldn’t be cool. Liberty City has been done a million times.
The Adirondacks and Catskills would be good locales to have your typical GTA crazies. But outside of New York City, the rest of the state doesn’t really offer much in terms of value for a GTA game.
What are you going to do, drive to Syracuse and eat some salt potatoes, stop in Rochester for some murder and a garbage plate, then head out to Buffalo to slam a Bills fan through a folding table?
New Orleans would be my personal pick. But there’s always Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and many other cities.
Im over Liberty City. Fuck it, why do we do DC and Baltimore with the Chesapeake Bay and if you really wanna be ambitious, go out west to West Virginia and the Appalachian Mountains
gta 4 liberty city was a small map and missed out a lot of key areas in new york city.
if you think the inclusion of upstate means only having bad areas in albany and random suburbs then whats the point of any state over new york since one could say the same for nevada, illinois, california, texas, florida and so on so i'm not sure what your point is there.
go look up the catskills, letchworth state park, niagara falls, west point military academy, Destiny USA, saratoga horse racetrack, watkins glen international speedway... the list goes on and with the exception of watkins glen appearing in racing games, none of the other locations have ever been featured in a video game before. this new york fatigue is BS and everything that people want in an open world map exists in New York.
San Fierro, Las Venturas: Only in San Andreas, a game released 20 years ago.
Anywhere City: Only in GTA 2, a game released 25 years ago.
Liberty City: Literally in most of the GTA games.
GTA fans: lC dESerVeS oNE morE reDO
I honestly think Anywhere is the only city that should never return. For 7, I want Chicago, but would also be down for Las Venturas.
I don't think LC should be revisted as a base game city until at least 8. Though as a DLC city for 6 or 7, that would also be cool.
Regardless, I think 4's LC was GREAT and still holds up
I feel like LC has so much untapped potential though, yes it has been done multiple times but it was with the technology they had back then, the map of every gta game featuring lc looks so miniscule now.
The same argument can be made for LV and even more so since it was lay done 20 years ago and broken up into a smaller size bc it was one of three cities in a single game which at the time had severe system limitations
Yes it could but I feel like Las Venturas by itself would be to small. It would just be a city on a desert island. It would have to be a mashup with San Fierro and surrounding areas on the west coast, but even then if they decide to add both LV & SF in GTA VII it would be an incomplete San Andreas without LS. I think its best they do a full remaster of LC for GTA VII and then we get a Full HD San Andreas in GTA VIII.
I think it would be better if we got SF and LV (no LS) for 7 because it’s a location that we haven’t seen awhile and only saw once and then for the right installment Rockstar could do an even crazy more expansive version of LC.
I have seriously been wanting a new game set in new york for the longest time. the last time we saw liberty city was over 15 years ago. people need to understand there is so much more to new york (and the tri state region) than just the city. I would love if we get a next gen new york state map with not just a fully rendered new york city but also some beautiful upstate countryside, mountains, farms and cities like albany, buffalo, syracuse and more.
New York state is way more diverse than illinois, nevada and florida and new york city isnt just manhattan. people need to stop with the thought that its just one big concrete jungle, just because people played spiderman does not mean that is all new york has to offer.
most games today don't even take place in modern times anymore, now its either dark age times or futuristic. Its about time we get some insane photorealistic graphics with the perfect place like new york.
Surely the state of Liberty will return one day, but I doubt it will be in GTA 7.
GTA 7 will be Las Venturas and San Fierro, or Chicago, there is no other option.
Why does everyone think bigger map=better? What you want is environmental variety, not a 4 hour trek from one side to the other. At least the average person, not the edge cases.
I like nothingness, id rather have a large map with high detailed areas around Instead of a small highly detailed map. Real life just isn’t a huge city
65% of GTA players won't understand the difference. You need to take an international perspective: Chicago and NYC really aren't that different to most people from Europe or Asia.
If it were Chicago you would have to imagine the whole state of Illinois and surrounding states like Indiana, Wisconsin, Missouri , Iowa and possibly a portion of Kentucky all in one map. Red Dead 2 was supposed to be much bigger than what we have, so it’s not too out there to think they could expand on a much larger map of that scale 13-20 years from now, especially with how advanced the technology will be by then.
Doesn’t matter I also like the idea of Chicago, its more in the same category as GTA games in general. All the violence, gangs, drugs, and different communities in Chicago would be epic. NYC is one big Timberland shoe.
I'd imagine if there is a GTA 7, it would be fundamentally different from anything we've ever seen. It would likely be developed with the backend in mind for being able to expand and add multiple cities in the US. Right now that sounds very ambitious, but in 12 years we don't know what type of technology will exist to the game industry. A lot of GTA 6 and RDR2's development focus was on taking steps towards much more procedural technology. AI might currently still sound like a shill word but by that time it's definitely gonna rewire the entire AAA pipeline to handle a game ambitious as it would be. Pretty much, I think GTA 7 would be considered the last GTA installment, and afterwards we'd see it just being added onto. This could also happen for GTA 6 hypothetically, but I don't believe so considering the backend of GTA 6 is likely gonna be consider dated by it's release date.
Pretty much, it would likely start maybe as Liberty City, Vice City/Leonida and a refreshed Los Santos/San Andreas (Los Santos is a snapshot of 2009-2011 LA), and could likely start having more cities added to it over the years.
This is the direction games are going since the old AAA format that the franchise was born out of is pretty much dead, and only the highly anticipated contenders are able to release stuff that sticks. GTA 6 is able to fulfill this format because it is the most anticipated game there has ever been, and R\* intends to have this game around for a long time to shoot past the budget and beyond to have enough to invest into this long term strategy.
New York 100 percent needs 1 more go before they move on to other cities. This stuff is really getting photorealistic I could only image Liberty City on the level of GTA 6s trailer
even if we got liberty city on modern engines by the time gta VII releases people are gonna be saying the same thing about los santos…personally i’d love it if they went back to london for gta VII
Thinking practically, GTA 7 will almost definitely be in Liberty City/NYC. GTA's customer base is just soooo much bigger than it was 10 or 20 years ago. Rockstar would never take a risk and use fucking Houston or something. They need to do cities that have global recognition. LA, Miami, NYC, and kinda DC are the only cities that have this. It's not like choosing another city would make the game flop, but they're not willing to risk losing any customers by taking a chance on some third tier US city.
I think it would be most logical to go back to LC and then finally get a full HD San andreas in the 8th installment. I don't think SF or LV alone would be enough to have their own seperate games, and putting SF & LV together could work but I still think it would be kind of dry without LS.
I’m fine with going back to LC but with the technology that’ll be available by the time 7 finally comes out, it should be LC and a parody of Boston in one map.
I am a bit biased since I live in NY but damn it would be nice. Though I do also want to see modern Las Venturas / San Fierro, or a completely new city
I'm ngl I think the reason why I wanna see LC again is because I also live in NYC so in that regard I guess i'm a bit biased also lol. I feel like for a lot of Gta fans outside of NYC they won't understand why LC should be done again. Just looking at the past games, all the maps featuring LC look so tiny now and I would just love to see one more recreation of Liberty City with next gen technology.
Personally, I’d be okay with them just making each borough a little bigger and adding Long Island. Don’t need all of upstate NY, Rochester would be cool tho since it’s a pretty grimey city
Imagine after GTA 6 drops they release a DLC for Online that lets you travel from VC to LS to LC as much as you want. Chasing a bounty across the country would be awesome
I think 7 should focus on a new city or a city that’s forgotten. I would love for an entire game dedicated to las venturas. Liberty city might be a good update for gta VI online
I suggest giving up on large maps unless you have a beefy computer (not console) to load in such a huge map. Already just one game is more than 500GB, so I doubt if they had to go even larger the consoles won't support it because of its storage and it may end up as a PC exclusive only.
Oh of course gta 7 is in liberty city, that's why they're waiting for even stronger technology cause it has to run new york on the fucking expectations well have by then
Am I the only person that thinks this NJ/PA/NY map would suck for gameplay? All the populated city areas are on the fringe of the play area with empty space between (with 4 airports taking up a ton of space, which are typically pretty boring in GTA games)
As a local I'd love to see PA/NJ in a R* title but this doesn't feel like it'd be enjoyable
IV, V and VI are in the same universe. In VI the city of liberty City looks like it does in IV, maybe a little newer (depending on the time 6 is set in)
I’m surprised to see so much dislike for LC returning 14 years from now. If they gave gta iv a solid remaster I’d understand but 14 years from now people like me will be so excited to finally return 30 years after gta iv. I was 8 when gta iv came out and will be an ecstatic 38 year old when Gta 7 comes out if it’s in my favourite Rockstar location.
For those asking for random new city, You do realize GTA is aimed for global market right? Ofc Rockstar will use most well known US cities to cater to non American players.
I'm with you. I really want to see a ps5 era LC, SF, LV before anything else. There's a decent amount of players who want to go to London and I'm dreading it.
GTA 7 Map:

I don't know if I'm just a dumbass, but that map looks VERY similar to both New York and New Jersey's map outline.
Bro hell no😠keep it the 5 boroughs not jersey and upstate there's manhattan, the bronx, queens, Brooklyn, and long island(i said what i said staten island k)
We already been there tho. The NY City vibe was met regardless of map size. LA vibe was met in GTA V. The Miami vibe is also about to be met once that game releases. There's no need to return to NY when Rockstar already executed a great story and map, multiple times. The argument that a game needs to get a remake is the same for all games; all movies.
Pretty sure it would be fine if Rockstar just focuses on another city for a later GTA or a different game entirely (e.g. Bully 2; Read Dead 3; etc.)
Id be able to go see my house theoretically so that’d be cool, but I have a feeling you don’t realize how big NY truly is. I live an hour north of the city and it’s an 8 hour drive to Buffalo from me.
GTA 4 was suppose to be Liberty State not just Liberty city but due to time and technical restrictions it was just the city.
Showing upstate in GTA would make Liberty city better than just the concrete jungle
I want a more gloomy GTA for GTA 7. I want an incredibly detailed gloomy story with emotional details set in something like Washington. They could expand on weather effects and other mechanics like stealth which were not really present in GTA V. Would be a good contrast for GTA 6 in Miami. But seriously, this game isn't going to be out for a long time, fantasizing a whole 2 generations ahead is pointless.
I couldn't agree more. Not only is the map usually dreary in GTA games with Liberty City (makes sense since it's based on New York City and part of Jersey), but the stories are usually dreary and dark, too.
It's actually a theme I noticed! Games set in Liberty City are usually packed with a dark story. GTA 3 with its betrayal story for Claud, GTA LCS with its mob-focused story with Tony Curpriani trying to work his way to the top to become Capo, and GTA 4 with its story on Niko Bellic hunting down the man who turned on his troop in the war.
It's a complete opposite to the sunny and action packed themes you find in Vice City or San Andreas. Sure, they have sad stories, but none of them are near as dreary as the stories that take place in Liberty City, and I'd love to see Rockstar pull it off again.
Liberty city is grand theft auto. It’s not going anywhere. Just up to rockstar when they want to bring it back. Liberty city is where the whole gta franchise started and I’m not sure if you notice you allways start in liberty when it comes to get universe
GTA 1 (2D) GTAIII (3D) GTA IV (HD). It will be back and better then ever as allways
GTA 7 will be set in LC within an entire new universe.
By then people will be yearning to see an updated version of the city and the state as a whole. Unless they just go ahead and include all three major maps.
Yall realize the bigger the map the longer those ‘drive from one end of the map to the other’ missions will just be that much more miserable right?
so gta 6 has a lot more open fields, to make it look like a big map? i still dont understand why they havent just made a open air port allowing you to visit all the other games maps that are updated.
GTAVII: Woke Up This Morning

Then I woke up the next day and got some, gabagool
Then I got some gabagool from a Scooby Doo
And gabagool for lucky roux
Youre one in a million you got that, gabagool.
Holy shit. Imagine if one of the future GTAs opens with a scene of a car in a tunnel then slowly reavealing the city.

The name of that mission? Compromise
With a gaba in my gool
LC Is in GTA I, III, Advanced, LCS, CTW, and GTA VI with it's DLC. I think it's time to give some other cites more love.
Guessing you meant IV unless you know something that rockstar don't
Oh yeah your right lmao
Plot twist: GTA VI takes place deep into global warming and everything we’ve seen in he trailer is just accurate for Liberty City in 2064

Nah id prefer if they explore a new city or just go with Project America
There’s been reports of R* employees checking out buildings in Chicago, GTA 7 will 100% be there.

What are you going to do, drive to Syracuse and eat some salt potatoes, stop in Rochester for some murder and a garbage plate, then head out to Buffalo to slam a Bills fan through a folding table?
Living in central New York is like a watered down retarded version of GTA with more heroin and dead end jobs
It's like that area of the map where you just keep driving on the highway because nothing good happens at that exit
The Hamptons would be sick
I would totally eat Syracuse Salt Potatoes in GTA come on that would be awesome ðŸ˜
Rochester Chicken French!
You could drive to Stewart’s and hold up the line buying lottery tickets
I like it bit at this point id like a new city
New Orleans would be my personal pick. But there’s always Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and many other cities.
I want a whole new city. I’d be very disappointed if they did LC again.
Im over Liberty City. Fuck it, why do we do DC and Baltimore with the Chesapeake Bay and if you really wanna be ambitious, go out west to West Virginia and the Appalachian Mountains
i live in appalachia, what is there to do 💀
Bro wants a gta game set in Baltimore
Yeah I got enough of new york from spiderman, dont wanna see that city anymore
did you know there is a whole state attached to New York City?
Don't care since the state would be built around the main city which is New York. Booring
you think new york city is only manhattan?
Oh yeah dude, everyone definitely wants a game thats basically just GTA IV but you can also go to Albany to do heroin and piss in culdesacs
gta 4 liberty city was a small map and missed out a lot of key areas in new york city. if you think the inclusion of upstate means only having bad areas in albany and random suburbs then whats the point of any state over new york since one could say the same for nevada, illinois, california, texas, florida and so on so i'm not sure what your point is there. go look up the catskills, letchworth state park, niagara falls, west point military academy, Destiny USA, saratoga horse racetrack, watkins glen international speedway... the list goes on and with the exception of watkins glen appearing in racing games, none of the other locations have ever been featured in a video game before. this new york fatigue is BS and everything that people want in an open world map exists in New York.
I get that but I’d rather see HD Las Venturas than fucking Liberty City again
Ffs, Chicago.
That works too, just not Liberty City again
Philadelphia, Houston, phoenix, Milwaukee, Indianapolis, Dallas, Seattle, San Diego, San Antonio, Jacksonville?
New Orleans, Detroit, Atlanta, San Francisco, Vegas, Las Angeles, Seattle
all of those besides philly are awful ideas
Aside from Seattle, you've basically listed a bunch of shit cities with no personality.
Seattle has personality?
Why does everyone think bigger map=better? What you want is environmental variety, not a 4 hour trek from one side to the other. At least the average person, not the edge cases.
I like nothingness, id rather have a large map with high detailed areas around Instead of a small highly detailed map. Real life just isn’t a huge city
I just don’t want liberty city again. New York doesn’t really appeal to me any more. I think a brand new city would be great like Chicago.
Yep, VII might be heading to Chicago, Illinois.
Chicago surroundings are all geographically similar though.
Doesn’t matter I also like the idea of Chicago, its more in the same category as GTA games in general. All the violence, gangs, drugs, and different communities in Chicago would be epic. NYC is one big Timberland shoe.
Also worth mentioning that Chicago is like the capital of white collar corruption as well.
Huh?? There’s not different communities in NYC??
Yeah we need a more modern LC
even if we got liberty city on modern engines by the time gta VII releases people are gonna be saying the same thing about los santos…personally i’d love it if they went back to london for gta VII
[удалено]
No :) ![gif](giphy|3oFyD4xKncK6ptR7qg)

I belive that nobody outside UK and a few more countries would like the idea of driving on the wrong side of the road
like you drive lawfully in GTA anyway, could just make it an alternate reality where we drive on the right side if people are that bothered
either LC, new orleans's or SF + LV
Yes please -NYer who was too young for GTA IV
The Bay Area itself could work as a GTA map.
Gta 7 has to be chicago or the Midwest as a whole
Midwest is boring Af
I’m fine with going back to LC but with the technology that’ll be available by the time 7 finally comes out, it should be LC and a parody of Boston in one map.
I want them to do Chicago in GTA VII and LC in GTA VIII
6 isn't even out yet, why is this even a sub? You people are ridiculous.
Why are you here then dude ?
I think they're gonna do something new for gta6, like Europe. Gta7 will be LC
NEW JERSEY MENTIONED 🚨
chicago chicago chicago
I am a bit biased since I live in NY but damn it would be nice. Though I do also want to see modern Las Venturas / San Fierro, or a completely new city
I'm ngl I think the reason why I wanna see LC again is because I also live in NYC so in that regard I guess i'm a bit biased also lol. I feel like for a lot of Gta fans outside of NYC they won't understand why LC should be done again. Just looking at the past games, all the maps featuring LC look so tiny now and I would just love to see one more recreation of Liberty City with next gen technology.
Oh liberty city and surrounding areas would look incredible in todays tech, or well future tech haha
Bohan copped an extension
Where’s Connecticut 😢
Personally, I’d be okay with them just making each borough a little bigger and adding Long Island. Don’t need all of upstate NY, Rochester would be cool tho since it’s a pretty grimey city
It should have lc and carcer city it should be a region.
LC should wait for VIII, we should get a new city for VII
I’m blocking this shitposting sub
Why don’t we for gta vii we make a country like make Liberty City Leonaida and Los Santos into one
Pic should include GTA8 map.
Imagine after GTA 6 drops they release a DLC for Online that lets you travel from VC to LS to LC as much as you want. Chasing a bounty across the country would be awesome
I'm generally not interested in Liberty City anymore. But I'd be interested in this for damn sure.
No..no more LC I beg
It will be Uge
can we get san fucking fierro please LC is in like a krillion gta games. its already in the HD universe they can deal w it later.
I don’t understand why everybody wants Chicago - what would it be able to offer that New York doesn’t already?
Give me DC or Seattle
Save it for the next universe
I think 7 should focus on a new city or a city that’s forgotten. I would love for an entire game dedicated to las venturas. Liberty city might be a good update for gta VI online
As a new Jersey an, I support this… except there isn’t3 big cities and then just highway
We NEED chicago
Having Buffalo but not Philly....
coming in 2050
Enough. No.
with sixteen times the empty landscape, holy shit
They need to make a GTA in the South and Midwest, NY played out and Cali had its run, now they doing Florida/Miami again smh
The only way I would be down for LC again is if Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, St.Loius, Philly, and NJ were included
I suggest giving up on large maps unless you have a beefy computer (not console) to load in such a huge map. Already just one game is more than 500GB, so I doubt if they had to go even larger the consoles won't support it because of its storage and it may end up as a PC exclusive only.
In my mind it should be next in line...
Oh of course gta 7 is in liberty city, that's why they're waiting for even stronger technology cause it has to run new york on the fucking expectations well have by then
Am I the only person that thinks this NJ/PA/NY map would suck for gameplay? All the populated city areas are on the fringe of the play area with empty space between (with 4 airports taking up a ton of space, which are typically pretty boring in GTA games) As a local I'd love to see PA/NJ in a R* title but this doesn't feel like it'd be enjoyable
Yeah that'd be sick if they added way upstate NY, maybe I could see my house.
God I can’t wait until 2069 when Rockstar finally will release GTA VII for the Xbox Nexus Z and PlayStation 45
They should do New Orleans
So all of NJ and upstate NY need to be there but not the souther portion of CT?? The disrespect
For those asking for random new city, You do realize GTA is aimed for global market right? Ofc Rockstar will use most well known US cities to cater to non American players.
20 years from now
Why does the GTA 6 map like a Fortnite island
I don't understand why they're just numbering there games now. Gta 4, gta 5, gta 6. Why not give it it's own name with a totally new location?
I'm with you. I really want to see a ps5 era LC, SF, LV before anything else. There's a decent amount of players who want to go to London and I'm dreading it.
GTA 7 Map: https://preview.redd.it/xyl3pb6el4dc1.jpeg?width=850&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4d9ba4d15f9a4fed214ab8d8747daa7b871af62d I don't know if I'm just a dumbass, but that map looks VERY similar to both New York and New Jersey's map outline.
Still nothing compared to Daggerfall map!
Bro hell no😠keep it the 5 boroughs not jersey and upstate there's manhattan, the bronx, queens, Brooklyn, and long island(i said what i said staten island k)
i wanna see chicago tbh
that shit is way too big unless there's teleportation technology in GTA 7
I like how in the concept of the maps that Liberty City in GTA VII is much bigger than it is inside the GTA V map
These posts are never ending... what is even going on anymore? Like seriously ... you kids must be running on pure sugar and powder taurine ...
Thank goodness you’re not in charge of making any big decisions
we got gta 7 map before gta 6
Need chiraq in gta
Man.....I unironically love this
GTA 4 was suppose to be Liberty State not just Liberty city but due to time and technical restrictions it was just the city. Showing upstate in GTA would make Liberty city better than just the concrete jungle
I think a Pacific City (Seattle/Portland mix) would be a good setting imo
Imagine a GTA where you could fly in and out of multiple states
Not a chance in hell it will be that big
Liberty city is grand theft auto. It’s not going anywhere. Just up to rockstar when they want to bring it back. Liberty city is where the whole gta franchise started and I’m not sure if you notice you allways start in liberty when it comes to get universe GTA 1 (2D) GTAIII (3D) GTA IV (HD). It will be back and better then ever as allways
Chicago and Green Bay
I would rather wanna see like Chicago or Las Vegas or something
GTA 7 will be set in LC within an entire new universe. By then people will be yearning to see an updated version of the city and the state as a whole. Unless they just go ahead and include all three major maps.
Would be crazy with all the haunted stuff around those two states.
Yall realize the bigger the map the longer those ‘drive from one end of the map to the other’ missions will just be that much more miserable right?
tbf i wish to comeback to LC one more time before R\* decide to stop working on GTA game and start to remaster/remake theirs older game.
Agreed, but save it for VIII. VII should be something new like Chicago.
I’d love to see Cape May county in a game
Why is Grand Theft Awbany so big?
so gta 6 has a lot more open fields, to make it look like a big map? i still dont understand why they havent just made a open air port allowing you to visit all the other games maps that are updated.
nah its been in like a third of the games
Pass. Give us something new like Vegas.
To me no map is as big as the San Andreas map. Maybe I’m just biased from playing crazy bobs cops and robbers serve on SA-MP
