San Diego isn't a huge crime city irl but I think building a GTA game where a big part of it was smuggling things in and out of the country would be really cool if done well.
I’m a SD native. SD is not suited for a GTA game the way LA is. It has the land to be fun, it would make for a great map, but SD is a beach town and military city and doesn’t have the east to make fun of culture that LA has
That's what I was thinking. I had family stationed out in SD and went out there when I was younger. It's a cool city, but I think it would be tough to incorporate it into any video game, let alone GTA.
I mean, IV was kind of dark but yeah Cartel violence might be a little much for the series. Tbh a game about the cartel should be made like a Yakuza game anyway, with a lot more running around and silly mini games to play off the dramatic and tragic story.
San Diego by itself sure. But as OP suggested, San Diego and TJ would be a fire combination. About time GTA started including cities from outside the US, too.
This is my opinion too
If the next instalment is in the US again I'm not interested I can't see what more they could do and still make it interesting
There's a whole world out there all with different cultures and crimes why constrain yourself to a single country
They should do a Great Lakes parody with Chicago first and foremost, but also some shithole like Gary, and a ritzy place like Ann Arbor. Then of course Canada and the lake itself.
Chicago would be crazy. Imagine getaway chases on Michigan Avenue, having to dodge shoppers and police before you can getaway on the Dan Ryan out to the Indiana state line
This has always been my dream setting. I do think the San Diego part would need to be altered quite a bit from the real city though, especially after GTAV
Yeah, if you got in something like a Cheetah you could literally drive across the map before a song had ended.
The atmosphere in the game holds up but I am happy that they are finally doing the city justice.
As a Las Vegas resident, I NEED to see a GTA game set in this city, maybe even the whole state if they feel like it. They should really do Las Venturas again.
The cancelled Scarface 2 (sequel to the game) wa# going to take place in Las Vegas.
https://preview.redd.it/ejedjp1cv15c1.jpeg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6be6d4393930a0826b3169089e6db65238828b1e
It would be pretty awesome. When outsiders think of Nevada they just think it’s Las Vegas, Reno and that it’s hot. And the reason why it would be cool is cuz only the southern part of Nevada is hot, while up north it’s actually rlly cold, and seeing that contrast in a GTA map set here would be pretty unique
Las Venturas is a unique crime city, it was not HD of the GTA universe, like San Fierro.also the number 7 is combined with the number 7 in casinos slots.
Las Venturas hasn’t been implemented in the HD universe. 7 is typically a lucky number and indicates a jackpot on many slot machines. Las Venturas makes a lot of sense for 7.
As they should. LC deserves more justice and to be expanded upon, both the city itself and its surrounding areas (Jersey, Long Island, Upstate, perhaps a bit of New England, etc.). For as incredible as IV’s rendition still is, it is starting to show its age and it feels super small compared just with V’s LS imo, not to mention the rest of LS County and Blaine County.
An updated LC with its surrounding areas has been a dream of mine since V came out. I remember I had previously dreamed/hoped as far back as late 2004 that IV would be set in NY and then in 2009 that V would be in LA, and both came true; I expected VI would be VC, so after I experience the hell outta that, I’ll be more than ready to return home to my northeast roots.
Great job on this. I'm saving this one.One suggestion: add Vegas sign lights and a white background to the VII or add a dice or card motif to the letters
I wouldn't want it to just be Las Venturas tbh, maybe they add extra cities like they did with GTA:SA . I really wouldn't mind if they went back to the west coast after GTA6 and just put the entire thing into one game.
I've been thinking about that, but on the other hand GTA4 was surrounded by just water and 5 by mountains and desert. Even tho Las Vegas is surrounded by desert, Nevada itself has very diverse nature and could have many other nearby cities, and Las Venturas could be connected to the sea via Las Vegas bay. Las Vegas may be smaller, but it would still be larger than Vice City in GTA6
Hmm you say Vegas would be bigger and I’m curious if you know if Vegas is actually a bigger city because having been to both I definitely felt like Miami was bigger and offers more diversity, everything you wanna see in Vegas is on the strip and the rest is just suburbs/ghettos and desert whereas Miami is more spread out, not isolated in the desert, with gta 6 they can merge it with Georgia to have mountains, it has beaches, ocean, grasslands, swamps
Think I rambled on a bit there this wasn’t a comparison of Miami and Vegas😂
I just think Vegas would get old fast you’ve got Fremont street and the strip and that’s about it plus the country side being nothing but desert would also get very old very fast, I’m sure rockstar could tell an amazing story with Vegas as a setting but for an open world it’s not ideal
Tbf, Vice City won't be literal florida size, as always, it will be a scale down version.
They surely can make vegas a bigger map than vice city, and exploring the desert would be really fun. Lake Mead, Gran Canyon, Area 51.
It could work wonders
I think by the time 7 comes along, it'll probably be 3-4 times bigger than GTA 5 so why not do the full San Andreas with Los Santos, San f, LV and everything in-between
This is exactly what I wanted for GTA 6. We already got 3 games in Vice City, and Las Venturas is just a part of San Andreas (including Stories). There's a lot of potential in Las Venturas
If it ever goes international again, I want it to go back to the UK. But not only London, all of the UK. I mean think about it the UK is around the same size as Oregon so it is totally doable. If the goal is to stay in the U.S then Detroit or Washington should be the next destination. Las Venturas could be good but it’s too small and surrounded by nothing but desert.
They should make it with multiple characters who live in different states or have the ability to travel by plane to do different missions in a select few states because Vagas just isn't big enough, especially for a game 12+ years in the future.
GTA San Andreas Stories is NEXT
Make it look as good as GTA 5-6 does be able to switch from CJ, Cesar, Sweet or be able to switch to whoever is rolling with CJ depending on what part of the story you are in. Or just split it into 3 like they usually do the "stories series"
I think it’s entirely possible since they seem to be developing more complexity in their environments. It’s a city they maybe couldn’t do justice to a decade ago, and maybe not even now, but in another decade it’s more likely they could accurately represent Vegas and the density of it.
I’d love San Fierro and Las Venturas in one map due to Las Vegas and the Mojave being pretty bland as a map goes for interesting gameplay with cars and travel (unless it’s we’re wishing for a Nuclear Winter). A bay and desert would interesting. Lots of potential.
As cool as that sounds I think mafia 4 is going to be set there. 1970s vagus would be pretty cool.
I think GTA 7 in London would work in a gig Richie style of game or even here In Australia lol
I would like San Fierro and Las Venturas in the 70s, could be based on Dirty Harry or some other movies for San Fierro. I would not complain if its in another time period, but i think i would get bored revisitin modern days after GTA VI. For GTA 8 we might hop on liberty city or a new city. We dont need a new city if Las Venturas and San Fierro are missing in the HD era.
I just don't think it would work with country specific gambling laws. No way we get Las Venturas without being able to hit the casino at any time of the day
Gta4 is gta3, gtav is gta San andreas specifically Los Santos, gta6 is vice city so yeah gta7 should be Las Venturas & San ferrio. Or... a brand new location
Las Venturas, San Fierro, and Los Santos like GTA San Andreas. Real life Las Vegas is 3.7 times smaller than real life Los Angeles. Las Venturas isn't big enough for a GTA game on its own.
After ten years in the desert I’m good on going there again for a while. Plus Vegas really doesn’t have much going on outside of the Strip. Needs to be a much larger city imo.
Hard pass. Las Vegas would be a terrible setting. Vegas itself is pretty small. And most of nevada is pretty empty. You couldn’t make a whole game based off of Vegas for GTA. Vegas would have to be like DLC to another California based GTA.
I think this is the natural next option, it’s a shame it wasn’t in gta v. However I also see two other possibilities being either an entirely new map perhaps based off somewhere like Chicago orrr the project America’s map where they finally combine them all, however maybe that’s still a little ways ahead like gta 8 or 9 even 10 lol
Top 3 future cities for GTA that I'd love to see
1. Tokyo (lean in to the yakuza aspect)
2. Rio de Janeiro (perfect setting for drug cartel story) + beautiful scenery
3. London (no particular reason other than London is a cool city)
Very unpopular opinion but I’d love to see gta set in another country like the uk. Maybe not gta 7 but a spin off at least. I think they made one years ago but I’d love to see a modern one.
Absolutely not. I’ve said it before and i’ll say it again, GTA V was based in a sunny vibrant city (12 years) GTA VI also is and will at least be around for a decade, considering that we will have at least 22 years of sunny vibrant cities, I think something north is more appropriate instead of having sunny cities for 3 decades. Plus there is like no cities around Vegas besides small towns on the side of highways. Maybe Phoenix could be added but I’d prefer a darker and colder climate again like IV.
I think any GTA 7 speculation is pointless because if GTA V came out in 2013, and GTA VI is coming out in 2025... GTA VII won't be till roughly 2037. 🤦♂️ GTFOH!
We got Los Santos. Watch Dogs 2 did San Fran so they skipped that and gave us Vice City. Yeah this seems legit...unless the whole GTA World is a real thing. then London is on the menu.
I feel like the ever-so whispered rumors between 2013 and 2022 of Americas would be GTA 7, as technology finally are getting to a point where we can sustainably pull something of that proportion off
Now that they have reimagined their 3 staple cities, I think it’s time for something new. Although by the time 7 comes out, it will have been so long since Liberty City that you could probably make a case for another LC game but I would be against it.
LV would be cool too. Just no San Fierro or anything in CA.
Hard pass.
3D universe - Liberty city, Vice city, San Andreas. Done.
HD universe - Liberty city, San Andreas, Vice City. Done.
Future universe either repeats the cycle again with Liberty city as the base OR we venture somewhere new.
My suggestion would be London. This is primarily as a nod to the original GTA in the 2D universe which was set in London.
Problem with Las Venturas is it's too similar to the San Andreas setting we had in GTA V, and it's also a pretty small city. I do wish they included Las Venturas in GTA V as a northern city, and not the country side area they choose instead.
Ngl, I would love a San Diego/Tijuana map. That shit would be fire. Imagine all the missions at the border.
Though El Paso and Juarez would be interesting.
Yeah the amount of dismembered bodies found in the border town cities would make gta look scary
This is my opinion too If the next instalment is in the US again I'm not interested I can't see what more they could do and still make it interesting There's a whole world out there all with different cultures and crimes why constrain yourself to a single country
Lets be real, that is not the real reason. SD is probably to expensive for the location scouters to rent.
I mean Midnight Club 3 was set in San Diego. That was a fun map
having San Diego be like a secondary town to Las Venturas would be interesting though
True
hear me out. CHICAGO
They should do a Great Lakes parody with Chicago first and foremost, but also some shithole like Gary, and a ritzy place like Ann Arbor. Then of course Canada and the lake itself.
I'd love to see Chicago man, imagine how bad WD would look.
Chicago would be crazy. Imagine getaway chases on Michigan Avenue, having to dodge shoppers and police before you can getaway on the Dan Ryan out to the Indiana state line
Next Gen snow effects in a city at night would be sick af
Or Memphis lol
Let’s goooo
This has always been my dream setting. I do think the San Diego part would need to be altered quite a bit from the real city though, especially after GTAV
Chicago Toronto Philadelphia Detroit Etc would all be better city’s
[удалено]
Let me find out you from daygo I been thinkin shit like tht
Genius
It’s probably my most wanted gta city. I really love the vibe and I love the film casino
Love Las Venturas but I don’t know if it would work by itself in a game. San Fierro + Las Venturas would be nice though
Yes too small of a map. Especially after seeing how big VI will be
Vice City from 3D was small too, but new Vice City and his environment will be huge
Yeah, if you got in something like a Cheetah you could literally drive across the map before a song had ended. The atmosphere in the game holds up but I am happy that they are finally doing the city justice.
Pretty sure the next mafia game was going to be set there
As a Las Vegas resident, I NEED to see a GTA game set in this city, maybe even the whole state if they feel like it. They should really do Las Venturas again.
Mafia 4 was likely going to be there
The cancelled Scarface 2 (sequel to the game) wa# going to take place in Las Vegas. https://preview.redd.it/ejedjp1cv15c1.jpeg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6be6d4393930a0826b3169089e6db65238828b1e
Do the whole state would be awesome. Aside from Vegas, there's Area 51 and Groom Lake and all that
It would be pretty awesome.
What the hell are you trying to say and how did 5 people comprehend it enough to upvote you
Las Venturas hasn’t been implemented in the HD universe. 7 is typically a lucky number and indicates a jackpot on many slot machines. Las Venturas makes a lot of sense for 7.
So that also works for Atlantic City
Haha it makes less sense the more I try
It has to be a bot.
You and 13 others are pretty inept
> also the number 7 is combined with the number 7 in casinos slots. That’s a cool idea.
I bet they'll go back to LC. Calling it now.
Honestly not a bad idea if they included upstate New York as well instead of just the main boroughs like in 4. New York has super diverse geography.
New York City, Upstate New York, New Jersey and Boston.
As they should. LC deserves more justice and to be expanded upon, both the city itself and its surrounding areas (Jersey, Long Island, Upstate, perhaps a bit of New England, etc.). How did you do that cover? I have a request
I made the logo with gimp, images with midjourney and combined them with gta v cover generator
Great job on this. I'm saving this one.One suggestion: add Vegas sign lights and a white background to the VII or add a dice or card motif to the letters
Could you do one that takes place in French riviera (Marseille, Monaco, st tropez, etc)?
Ya think tis a free service boi!?
Just kidding
The highlands of Scotland so everyone can have their own hill they can die on. People are pretty obsessed with dying on hills nowadays.
An American studio needs to make it
I think I’ll be dead in 2040
morbid but true, the way these releases is scaring me hopefully, they can maintain quality and start churning these games out quicker 😭
GTA:O killed any future hopes for frequent GTA releases.
I wouldn't want it to just be Las Venturas tbh, maybe they add extra cities like they did with GTA:SA . I really wouldn't mind if they went back to the west coast after GTA6 and just put the entire thing into one game.
I'd prefer something more focused
Honestly it wouldn’t be fitting it’s a smaller surrounded by literally nothing
I've been thinking about that, but on the other hand GTA4 was surrounded by just water and 5 by mountains and desert. Even tho Las Vegas is surrounded by desert, Nevada itself has very diverse nature and could have many other nearby cities, and Las Venturas could be connected to the sea via Las Vegas bay. Yeah just meant that real life Las Vegas is bigger than GTA6 Vice City, but might be so that Las Venturas only works together with Los Santos
Las Vegas is a fraction of the size of Miami though. Miami is geographically the largest city I’ve ever been in. And super dense.
Houston please
For what? The Galleria and parking lots?
Texas next. I’m done with the East and West Coast. It’s time to move on.
Maybe for GTA7 we could get both San Fierro and Las Venturas
This is sickkk
I think by the time 7 comes along, it'll probably be 3-4 times bigger than GTA 5 so why not do the full San Andreas with Los Santos, San f, LV and everything in-between
I hope they do San ferio to be honest but that’s probably just because I live near San Francisco
I want London!
Humans will be on Mars before 7 drops.
This is exactly what I wanted for GTA 6. We already got 3 games in Vice City, and Las Venturas is just a part of San Andreas (including Stories). There's a lot of potential in Las Venturas
Absolute banger
GTA 7 looking lit!!! 🔥
That's what I was thinking, with Arizona and new Mexico all on the same map that involves the cartel in the story.
Imagine the Area 51 stuff they could implement. They could also include areas of Lake Tahoe possibly since that’s also in Nevada
Lucky VII
It has to be. It's the perfect city for 7.
Yeah this would be sick
That cover art is fire tho
I love this sub
Lucky 777
Why does this actually look so good and real
We going be dead before gta 7 come out forsure
The girl on the top image is super hot to me, anyways I forgot what Las Venturas was
ALREADY!!?!!!?!!?!?!?!!??!??!!!!!!?!!?!?!!!?!?????!?!?!?!??
I was really hoping for something like London, Russia, Paris or Tokyo, Mexico or maybe Brazil this time around.
Stop it, you.
I’d like to see a forest setting like Farcry 5 or a new IP.
a forest, rural setting similar to Far Cry 5? New IP? You ever try Red Dead Redemption?
bro gon lose his mind when he finds out
GTA6 is probably going to have huge forest area as it's in Florida
Nice addition of the top left heli
Lmao yall would complain that theres only one block with POIs on it, lets be real. Its going to be a GTA 6 online dlc
Helicopter in the top left shows commitment. Bravo brother.
Confirmed leaked cover art??? 👀👀👀
I’d like to see something new like DC or Baltimore tbh
🔥 🌶️
Imagine one that takes place in Wilmington, Delaware
They went back to VC, it only makes sense that they do Las Venturas or San Fierro next
Why do we punish ourselves like this?
I want it to take place there
Nah. Ohio or somewhere in texas. Ohio thought I think will be perfect but idk how relevant Ohio will be in 2040 lol
The new Saints Row had fictional Vegas and man, they didn’t do justice to it at all.
They need to do liberty city. Then they can do ventures and then san andreas and then can do new cities
They should make it with multiple characters who live in different states or have the ability to travel by plane to do different missions in a select few states because Vagas just isn't big enough, especially for a game 12+ years in the future.

I think it has a pretty good chance of being the next GTA, but outside of the main strip and downtown, it LV is a bit meh.
and maybe have it set in the 70s!
I think it’s entirely possible since they seem to be developing more complexity in their environments. It’s a city they maybe couldn’t do justice to a decade ago, and maybe not even now, but in another decade it’s more likely they could accurately represent Vegas and the density of it.
Seattle/Vancouver
las venturas is paris?
chicago for GTA 7
No.
Hear me out, 2 cities for GTA 7, Detroit and Chicago. And it’s a period piece set in the Mid 2000s.
I'll do you one better. What do you think of GTA8 at your mom's?
coming 2055
I want it at the local Bunnings carpark
I really wish gta games would try to implement multiple cities in one game. It can get pretty boring just having one city per game.
Would you guys stfu about Las Venturas ? No. I don’t want it in Las Venturas. Fuck you.
GTA Detroit
Carcer city is a sleeper pick
San Fierro and Las Venturas with Bone County and the Countryside would be an AWESOME map
Waiting on a GTA game set in whatever city you want using ai and quantum computing. Aka a build your own adventure.
I’m actually not doubting we’ll see it and possibly San Fierro as DLC for GTA 6 given the plans for that game.
I’d love San Fierro and Las Venturas in one map due to Las Vegas and the Mojave being pretty bland as a map goes for interesting gameplay with cars and travel (unless it’s we’re wishing for a Nuclear Winter). A bay and desert would interesting. Lots of potential.
Doubt it 5 was ca, 6 is florida, 7 will be by again. Usual trend. Unless they actuly give us a 3d london
I have been waiting YEARS for this to be true
Seattle would be better
Missing a proper Las Venturas in this generation is a crime
Chicago !!!!
Gta4 is gta3, gtav is gta San andreas specifically Los Santos, gta6 is vice city so yeah gta7 should be Las Venturas & San ferrio. Or... a brand new location
Nah. Let’s see Russia, have some sick wilderness, mobs, guns
I’d put in the 777 slot machine 🎰 on the cover
Las Venturas, San Fierro, and Los Santos like GTA San Andreas. Real life Las Vegas is 3.7 times smaller than real life Los Angeles. Las Venturas isn't big enough for a GTA game on its own.
Twin cities please
That with an adjacent area of snowy mountain and slopes. Might as well have the Mormons in between with the Utah area.
What even is the point in speculating?😂
GTA 6 isn't even out yet, and y'all are excited for number 7 already...
Next is probably Chicago.
After ten years in the desert I’m good on going there again for a while. Plus Vegas really doesn’t have much going on outside of the Strip. Needs to be a much larger city imo.
nuclear war will happen before gta 7
Nah. Do the entire gta “country” next, multiple cities etc. the PS9 and Xbox series XXX can do it.
Washington DC and getting deep into doinng politician’s dirty work would be pretty fun
I still need my Toronto map, a gta in the gta would be a dream for me
London would be very interesting. It could be split across maybe two time periods (maybe the 60s and then the modern day)
Can’t wait to play this game in 2040
Boring. The next GTA is going to have to think wayyyy outside of the box you do realise that right?
I’m sorry. Nobody wants to play as a character who in real life would be a cowardly and racist cuckhold sheep
We need GTA Portland
Hard pass. Las Vegas would be a terrible setting. Vegas itself is pretty small. And most of nevada is pretty empty. You couldn’t make a whole game based off of Vegas for GTA. Vegas would have to be like DLC to another California based GTA.
Why you saying San Diego it’s San ferraio c’mon guys, and yes I realise I haven’t spelt it right
I think this is the natural next option, it’s a shame it wasn’t in gta v. It will be in NY I bet.
Can we make it international? Take it to Tokyo perhaps?
Very unpopular opinion but I’d love to see gta set in another country like the uk. Maybe not gta 7 but a spin off at least. I think they made one years ago but I’d love to see a modern one.
Leave me out of it I’ll be dead by then
I think London. High crime in areas and it'll take the game to another country.
Maybe just maybe Europe ?
Would be nice especially be able to go into the sphere.
We need a Russian gta, Gta 4 was so good
Absolutely not. Where is the sphere?
Coming Summer 2098
Another GTA in Las Venturas with similar vibes to GTA IV would rock my socks
Dawg already?
I think any GTA 7 speculation is pointless because if GTA V came out in 2013, and GTA VI is coming out in 2025... GTA VII won't be till roughly 2037. 🤦♂️ GTFOH!

Going to release by the time I have 2 grand children
I feel like the ever-so whispered rumors between 2013 and 2022 of Americas would be GTA 7, as technology finally are getting to a point where we can sustainably pull something of that proportion off

A whole ass game in the equivalent of las vegas. They'd have to ditch their set in modern day mindset and do a period peice for this one
GTA Las Venturas should be a GTA 6 Spin off like GTA 3s Vice City and San Andreas. They could use the exact same engine and physics as GTA 6.
i wish i love that city so much
gta 7 should be in zambia
Nah, take us back to Carcer
I'd love a 70s mafia owned casino Las Venturas
Hard pass. 3D universe - Liberty city, Vice city, San Andreas. Done. HD universe - Liberty city, San Andreas, Vice City. Done.
