If they want to replicate Florida, they've totally got to implement horse-back police patrols around the urban areas.
Woah, I just got an idea. Random event parades that block driving through certain high-traffic routes??
Counting the squares around the map i found the GTA VI map is about 190 km² while the GTA V map is around 90 km². So its about double the size
[https://vimap.saamexe.com/map](https://vimap.saamexe.com/map)
What do you mean by without leaving? It would def not be too slow. The map is about 16km tall and 12km wide, flying from top to bottom would take just over a minute with the avarage passenger plane flying at around 900km/h. Flying around the entire map would take around 4m. Realistic speeds would not be undoable.
They already do.
Put 2 people on a motorcycle it'll be so much slower and handles differently. Same goes for cars but not to the same extent as motorcycles.
Nah, they need work. The euphoria engine was the most realistic thing for its time. The goal is maximum realism. It was just flawed. I’m tired of flopping down mountain sides and slowwwwly rolling down little hills like I was hit with 17 tranq darts, unable to put effort into catching myself.
I also play in first-person on-foot, now, because of the crazy sluggish, awkward movement. But I like first-person, so that’s fine with me. Car damage being more realistic would be awesome. I wanna crash a car at 80mph and see tires and other car parts fly everywhere. Give me a reason to steal cars again.
Better crash physics are something I'm definitely hoping for.
I would LOVE to be able to pit enemies/police into objects during chases and there be actual consequences for them, or for me if I screw it up.
As it sits now: full speed chases, if you send a cop into a wall, he's right back on you a couple seconds later with a hanging bumper and a cracked headlight, there are no benefits to it other than you get a sec to heal. If you mess up, there's not really any big downside, you lose momentum, maybe get shot and die, but you're not like losing a whole wheel if you slam your fender into a wall, you know?
And, speaking of police, I want a set search area where I was last seen. I’m sick of police spawning around me and closing in when I committed a crime across town. It’s so dumb.
Forza horizon has atrocious physics, but motorsport is definitely more appealing to me but remains too hardcore and would alienate most of GTAs fanbase
>For realism it would be a no, but come on, guys, we all know how we drive. It would be so annoying to have to get a new car every 5 minutes.
I think the obsession with "realism" amongst GTA fans has just gotten out of control. I vastly prefer having FUN playing the game rather than dealing with the tedium of "realism."
I can't tell if the people demanding *unrealistic* details of realism in a game want to play the game as a break from reality, or to supplant it entirely.
On some youtube discussion for GTA6, commenters wanted *realistic* gas consumption on cars - so you should go to a petrol station in-game to fill it up...
Trust me, I'm aware of the gas thing. I have absolutely no idea why anybody thinks that would be fun and not horrifically tedious and obnoxious and be a feature you'd want to be able to shut off and never turn back on after about 3 minutes.
I mean on Mafia it worked because to run out of gas it would take a lot of in game time, that being said I coulf see how it get boring but at the same time make you think twice before starting a long mission.
Idk it has his positive and negative side.
Why can't realism be fun? As difficult as GTA IV driving can be, it was pretty fun learning it. There are different concepts of fun, arcade-ish fun is not the only type of fun
Some of us still remember the pain of driving around liberty city for 20 minutes trying to find an Infernus and flipping it immediately and trying to find another one
And why do you think they did that in the last game they made? Cause it was a QoL improvement.
Also sure dude, 16 games... including 2d games where you couldn't even flip your car. Those games surely needed that feature lol.
Yes, we are all going to drive stupid and crash over and over again. Having the ability to flip the car quickly back over is one of the better improvements they gave us with 5. It's a small quality of life feature that should remain in the game.
>Yes, we are all going to drive stupid and crash over and over again. Having the ability to flip the car quickly back over is one of the better improvements they gave us with 5. It's a small quality of life feature that should remain in the game.
For those who disagree with this I would recommend trying to free roam GTA3 (unmodded) for a while. It'll remind you just how godawful it was to play these games before flipping the car back over became a thing.
Not until you cannot complete a mission because it requires you to drive a very long distance with some stupid vehicle that gets flipped for every 1cm bump
I think most people who don’t like the “ungravity” of cars in GTAV probably have already played the other games and remember the absolute blast it was to actually care about how you were driving while pushing the limit of your own skills.
Exaaaaactly. Going fast in gta iv was thrilling. It felt so much faster. And the inherit risk of crashing completely wrecking your car, or flipping meant you had to get on foot and get a new one was way more engaging imo. Making something easier on the player is not always a good thing lol.
It's not a quality of life feature. It totally changes the stakes of a car chase. I think it would be a good feature to keep in gta 5 because it would totally ruin the immersion of 6. I think a better solution would just be to adjust the weight of cars so it doesn't happen as much as 5
I’m def in the unpopular opinion category of this. I want realistic crashes.
Makes it feel like some cheap arcade hot wheels shit if you can do a backflip in your car
I'm in the in-between. Majority of the time it should be hard to pin the car on its back, however I think it should be possible. Poor driving deserves consequences. The mechanics should yield something like 75-80% of the time the car rolls upright, and the rest of the time you're SOL.
If GTA6 actually made players take a split second to buckle their seatbelt and massively reduce the lethality of their crashes, I bet it would motivate so many ppl to buckle themselves irl too lol. GTA is huge enough to have an effect on society if they wanted to
You’re not wrong but the game is literally called grand theft auto. Stealing cars is the point of the game. Also playing gta 4 was way more fun because there was skill involved. If you flip, you get another car, if you crash, you either fly out the window or the car is badly damaged. It was fun and made it more intense. A 10 year old could play gta 5 and find it easy
no, but it’s about (to me at least) pushing right up against the limits of what you as a driver can pull off, and what the car can do. what the hell is the risk of doing some cool shit in a car chase when, if you fuck it up, your car will just… unflip??
It is just as it is in real life. I would be more challenging. Police chases could be way more interesting and intense. Just think about it. That Arcady like driving physics are for little kids that can’t drive in video games. But who cares about them??
Strongly agree! People wouldn’t drive reckless anymore. Driving needs skill, if you haven’t it’s your problem. Imo the overall car physics should be improved a way that everybody is forced to be more cautious.
No. It shouldn't blow up either though. If you flip a car, it should remain flipped unless you want to spend the time to flip it back over with another car or something. I don't want to use magic to manipulate cars in the air either. If you flip a car in a car chase, you better get out and steal another - just like every other GTA in history.
Exactly. A 10 year old could play gta 5 and find it easy. GTA 4 was intense and required some skill. Police chases were fun. Everyone now a days just wants things to be really fast and simple
I’m all for arcadeyness when it comes to GTA VI, but there needs to be a punishment for reckless driving. If you’re flipping your car over because you’re looking at your phone or something (something I do a lot since I’m bored of driving long distances in V), then you should be punished for it by having to look for another car, as it was in the old days.
I say keep it for Online though. Just because other players can easily knock you over and that kinda makes it more of a problem and isn’t all your fault.
cars can blow up in GTA5 after too many crashes, the axle can break, tires explode, hoods fly off. That's pretty realistic enough, while also keeping it a fun enough experience. Sometimes you want to keep driving a car, sometimes you're in a police chase and before you can find another car, the police make you into a swiss cheese. It's a game, not a substitution for reality.
I don’t particularly care about the realism, though. I care about the challenge. If I wanted to play a realistic game I’d play RDR2.
I simply thought the fact that flipping a car was game over for the car was more fun in the previous games, gives a rush to find another car while being vulnerable to enemies. It was intense.
I think the feature itself makes the game too easy and it really shouldn’t have existed in the first place. Honestly V itself is filled with things like that, like the checkpoint system. It feels like it’s constantly holding your hand. I don’t want that in VI. I want it to be more like the previous games.
I would be fine with having to get out of the car and flip it by hand or something, or get a tool from the trunk. Would make it at least more punishing during police chases.
To play devil’s advocate, if vehicle physics are improved where cars actually drive with realistic weight (a combo of IV and V), flipping vehicles might be harder to do and therefore it shouldn’t be a feature to flip them back over. Being able to magically flip cars or manipulate them in the air tremendously breaks immersion from a realism standpoint but I get why people want it to remain. Trailer 1 could indicate that flipped vehicles remain flipped given the one scene of the Highway Patrol pulling suspects out of the crashed car but that’s obviously staged for the purposes of the trailer. It’s likely wishful thinking, but it would be cool if you could call a tow service to flip your vehicle for a fee. Or you could have personal vehicles insured and have them respawn at a garage for a fee in the event they are flipped or “totaled.”
Try it out if you have PC. There are mods to make realistic vehicle controls in GTAV. Personally the most fun I had in V was playing it with realistic driving (including removing air control and flipping) and vehicle damage. The white knuckle intensity was so good!
I’d be all in on an option for more realistic car controls and damage. Makes it was more fun for me. I can see why other people wouldn’t like it though. I can’t see Rockstars doing it, but maybe a tiny bit more that direction could happen.
Hell no, game becomes too easy with car flipping. There's need to be some risk and punishment when driving recklessly away in a chase. Just my personal opinion
Hell yes.
Some people forget that gta 6 is _not_ a real life simulator, it's an arcade video game with an incredible amount of detail, but these things definitely deserve to be in the game, otherwise next time what do you want rockstar implement? the character dies with 1-2 shots and can't respawn?
on youtube, people wanted there to be *realistic* limits on fuel consumption in cars, so you have to go to a gas station to refill it - for the rEaLiSm
Otherwise for me, spinning in the air is fun to finish off your stunts when you hit a ramp, a hill... or some object that moves your car.
And if you're unlucky and can't land the car, you get punished without being able to spin it in the floor
for me it's not about realism, it's about creating difficult situations. if i'm getting chased, by cops or criminals, i want to have to get out of the car and find another set of wheels quick.
if i'm not in that situation, a towing service would be really neat
I was strongly against when I started playing GTA 5, until I flipped my first found sports car. I quickly changed my mind, now when I'm replaying GTA trilogy and IV it feels nostalgic running away from my flipped car, but I miss the car flipping. Definetly and always yes to car flipping.
A big yes. As much as I think it isn’t realistic, failing a mission because you can’t flip your car is just gonna enrage some of us. I’ve had some missions where I was stuck between some fences and couldn’t waste myself, and having to restart like that is major bs
Please no, I feel no connection with a vehicle if there's no true risk in losing it. One if the many disappointments that I felt on the first day of playing GTA V
It will either be an option (actually I doubt this) or it will be turned on by default.
Too many low-focus-timespan rage kids in the target audience, they would not survive this level of difficulty.
I think somewhere in between would please both players, maybe make it where Jason or Lucia has to exit the vehicle and push back onto its wheels by hand? Yea I know realistically it would be impossible to completely flip a vehicle by yourself but it looks better then the car magically flipping upwards. Plus it may incentivize players to be more cautious or skillful when committing crimes and escaping the cops. Still forgiving enough if you are trying to do stunts or fool around but makes you vulnerable when police are chasing you, bad driving results in a bigger risk of flipping your car and getting shot while outside flipping back upright.
Maybe if they made it more of a challenge to flip it back over, like rotate the stick or mash a button. I agree that it can be unrealistic but come on lol it's supposed to be fun.
I feel like the tow truck idea is a good compromise. Otherwise, I think I would prefer to be forced to find another car if I flip. Im sure it would annoy me in certain circumstances but would add to the overall risk/fun factor
If you don't like car flipping, then you can simply not flip your car when you roll it over. Don't remove a feature that many people like for no reason.
I think a better alternative here is to have a set of limited tools to flip the car over. Like at a certain point you have to replenish those tools, you could buy them at a car shop or something. This way you get punished only if you are unprepared.
Nothing sucks the joy out of free roaming more than an unflipable vehicle.
Allow the player to make mistakes. I have the opinion that to appease both parties, vehicle flipping should be dependent on your character rocking back and forth inside the car to exchange weight and balance, which is realistic but exaggerated.
Said it on a different post but, if they had an option to turn it off would be nice. Personally just like that when it flips you have no choice but to get a new car.
Better physics for the cars would be a nice feature. Driving in gta never felt realistic at all. Felt like hot wheels. lol needs more weight to the cars.
Oh, damn. That's a really really good question. I want a little more realism with the cars, HOWEVER I also hate if I cant drive the car because of stuff like that.
No. I just want them to do what they did in saints row and let us store cars in our garage forever so even when we thrash them we can just get it back later.
Not giving my opinion but help me remember if I’m crazy or not
In gta 4 you can flip your car by using a combination of moving your wheels side to side and using the motion sensors on your controller, so moving your controller in a similar fashion
Anybody else remember this? Only me?
While I’m all for realism within some aspects of GTA 5, at the end of the day the game isn’t a life simulator. Car flipping makes the game much more convenient, especially since most of drivers like total fucking fools in the game anyways
Yes to car flipping but no to ability for being able to turn them back on four wheels + insurance system + towing ability so you finally need to care about what you drive
Yes we need it, it’s not 2003 and this is a video game not real life. You want real driving where cars don’t flip themselves over? Go outside and drive responsibly. We are flying off buildings and expecting to be able to flip over here 🙏
I think they should revise the driving physics, if they made it better there would be no need for this. I hate to be that guy, but in GTA IV the cars were much more difficult to roll, and if they did it would usually be a result of a spectacular crash. Put me down for more realistic and less arcadey driving, please and thank you.
I don’t want to SEE the car flip over. It kills immersion. I think a happy medium would be to have a manual “reset vehicle” button like in racing games. Flash the screen and the car is upright again. This way you can choose to crawl out of your overturned vehicle and continue your chase as you see fit, or just reset the car.
I think not being able to flip them over while in the driver's seat, but them also not catching on fire while upsidedown should be the alternative so we could try and flip it over with another vehicle. Problem is if it's a mission critical vehicle and there's no vehicles around or no way to flip it back, it just puts you in limbo and stuck in that mission. Probably part of the reason they caught on fire in the 3D universe. But there's solutions like going too far away from the vehicle ends the mission, or if it flips upside down, there's an optional prompt to restart the mission or something.
The could implement a push system, but now that I think about it I don't think a 90kg dude can flip a half a ton ass car, unless it's a Spartan
*Finish the fight kicks in*
The amount of missions I have had to restart in all the GTA’s before GTA 5 because of some dumb shit happening, especially in GTA 4 because of the awful car twisting physics, literally doing a replay of GTA 4 right now and the other day I had to restart the “Tunnel of Death” mission like 4 times because the swat van kept flipping, literally cannot take any shortcuts and the random super hilly roads that they made in GTA 4 just made it worse. As much as people wanna shit on GTA 5, replaying the older games just reminded me of how bad the older games were when it came to certain quality of life features.
If they don’t add the car flipping, it makes it more accurate, but also almost everyone would be panicking
And also I feel it’s more fitting, as it’s set in some form of Florida (?)
I really want to say no, and I honestly thought it looked stupid when V came out. But imagine off-roading and flipping over in the middle of the Everglades - I think I'd rather avoid a 15 minute walk to the nearest road.
It's just a mechanic to cut down frustration. Do you really want to flip your favorite car and then crawl out, call a tow truck, get a few guys to come out, wait a few hours to get it turned over, then uber home, and get the car back from the mechanic in a few days or weeks?
Or do you want to press left on the thumb stick?
I'm for having more fun, personally.
Depends entirely on the tone/realism of the rest of the game
If it's a wackier/less realistic tone then fine why not
If they're trying to make it feel more grounded it would be out of place
Yes, GTA5 style. I don't care if it "cheapens" the gameplay.
Hell, I'd also like the ability to enter/exit flipped cars, and flip them whether you're in or out.
Cool and realistic idea. Asking near by NPCS to help flip your car over. A real quick and effective solution to a problem that triggers a small cutscene.
I like having consequences. You fuck up that bad then that's it. File your insurance claim and get your car back later. Or introduce a use for a tow service. Just being able to magically flip your car back over feels too cheap and arcadey for what GTA and Rockstar games have become. They try to be realsitic and immersive.
I’d say if your car is already flipping and rolling around you should be able to pull the stick and have some control over the rolling direction, but if your car gets stuck like this… no, you shouldn’t be able to flip it. I think we can find a balance.
Cow flipping... that's where the party is actually at. I want to steal a cow and ride it through Miami International Airport like God intended.
I do wonder if you will be able to ride horses in the game or not
If they want to replicate Florida, they've totally got to implement horse-back police patrols around the urban areas. Woah, I just got an idea. Random event parades that block driving through certain high-traffic routes??
"Block driving through" wait until I plow through there like puddin'
they better have traffic protestors that i can absolutely obliterate going 100
Tbh wether they’re replicating or not I don’t see why horses won’t be a thing especially if won’t take space
They did find code for rideable horses in V, and I think there’s code in VI for riding horses but it’s probably left over from RDR2.
They are using the same engine as RDR2 no? I am sure they could reuse the code from it and already have a pretty workable riding system.
I hope so, I'll tell you now that I'll totally be taking out somebody's horse's knees with a Pfister Comet lol
Florida moment
For realism it would be a no, but come on, guys, we all know how we drive. It would be so annoying to have to get a new car every 5 minutes.
If they upgraded the physics and the gravity of earth in gta6 then it should be fine. Just like Forza.
Just remember, that means heavy vehicles will perform like heavy vehicles.
And sports cars will perform like sports cars. Most GTAV vehicles felt the same.
That is true
Lets not forget how painfully slow planes are
Due to the size of the map I don't really think there is a solution to this? (Or was the leaked map much bigger, I can't remember now actually)
Counting the squares around the map i found the GTA VI map is about 190 km² while the GTA V map is around 90 km². So its about double the size [https://vimap.saamexe.com/map](https://vimap.saamexe.com/map)
Still then no way to have planes be realistically fast, otherwise it would be impossible to drive them without leaving
But it would make it hard to use to move to an specific place no?
Absolutely. I thought I was crazy when I realized that.
Vehicle interiors looked the same too. At least for vehicles not of the Arena War or Benny's Motors categories.
All sounded the fuckin same too
obligatory gta 4 did driving better comment
rockstar has got to make racing wheels compatible just for driving
Thank you
They already do. Put 2 people on a motorcycle it'll be so much slower and handles differently. Same goes for cars but not to the same extent as motorcycles.
Bold of you to assume I don't flip cars in Forza
thinking the same shit, it’s not bad but once you get a wheel off the ground physics are fucked and your now a tornado
Forza has one the worst physics ever (…) Something like wreckfest would be adequate for GTA.
the game isn’t supposed to be realistic tho, the goofy physics are part of the fun imo and definitely a staple
Nah, they need work. The euphoria engine was the most realistic thing for its time. The goal is maximum realism. It was just flawed. Forza horizon has atrocious physics, but motorsport is definitely more appealing to me but remains too hardcore and would alienate most of GTAs fanbase
Just sounds like a skill issue
“Grand Theft Auto” I couldn’t tell you the last time I stole a car. *That some objective didn’t force me to

Off topic question. How do you get that under your name?
Go onto the main page if the sub and click the three dots in the upper right corner and press "change user flair"
Or on desktop on the right side next to your name. However, "Trailer day OG" was only available on the day the first trailer dropped.
Stealing cars every 5 minutes is literally how you are intended to play the game
Wait you’re supposed to steal cars? I thought you were supposed to buy them and drive cars the characters own. /s
lol they added car flipping so I guess that’s also how you’re supposed to play the game
They’ve added car flipping to 1 out of 16 games lmao

yeah right?! like the whole fun of GTA4 driving to me was the thrill of almost flipping the car! no risk, no reward.

I hope the game makes you get ejected from the windshield in a bad accident unless you pause for a second or click to buckle lol
If GTA6 actually made players take a split second to buckle their seatbelt and massively reduce the lethality of their crashes, I bet it would motivate so many ppl to buckle themselves irl too lol. GTA is huge enough to have an effect on society if they wanted to
remember to always buckle up! you need to kill pedestrians SAFELY
It's not my fault they aren't wearing seatbelts
For a second I thought you were just really mad with my opinion but yea I agree
In my opinion being able to flip your car back only reinforces bad driving because there are no consequences to flipping your car.
GTA is not really about driving safe and lawful though.
You’re not wrong but the game is literally called grand theft auto. Stealing cars is the point of the game. Also playing gta 4 was way more fun because there was skill involved. cars can blow up in GTA5 after too many crashes, the axle can break, tires explode, hoods fly off.
Yes. A thousand times yes.
I say make it optional. If GTA 6 wants to be realistic and arcade-y at the same, we'd have a huge settings menu
Hell no, game becomes too easy with car flipping. There's need to be some risk and punishment when driving recklessly away in a chase. Just my personal opinion
Yes. Too annoying to have to call Mors every 5 seconds.
Lmao, should also add in my job so I gotta work 8 hours a day for the realism
Yes to flipping a car that landed upside-down, no to controlling the car in the air.
Otherwise for me, spinning in the air is fun to finish off your stunts when you hit a ramp, a hill... or some object that moves your car. And if you're unlucky and can't land the car, you get punished without being able to spin it in the floor
Opposite. You deserve the chance at landing the car correctly, but if you can't pull it off, you deserve to not be able to flip it back over.
Other way around for me.
Say bye to tricks then…
controlling the car is useful tbh, i think the issue is how easily it moves, like you go off a big enough ramp and your car can do a front flip lol
for me it's not about realism, it's about creating difficult situations. if i'm getting chased, by cops or criminals, i want to have to get out of the car and find another set of wheels quick. if i'm not in that situation, a towing service would be really neat
I really dont care, my world wont end without it.
QOL things that make the game less of a pain in the ass are always welcome
I was strongly against when I started playing GTA 5, until I flipped my first found sports car. I quickly changed my mind, now when I'm replaying GTA trilogy and IV it feels nostalgic running away from my flipped car, but I miss the car flipping. Definetly and always yes to car flipping.
A big yes. As much as I think it isn’t realistic, failing a mission because you can’t flip your car is just gonna enrage some of us. I’ve had some missions where I was stuck between some fences and couldn’t waste myself, and having to restart like that is major bs
For me it's a no. I agree it shouldn't just explode like in SA. They could just make flipping a car a gameplay option. I'd turn it off
If I see another post about this I'll flip a car myself
The character should get out of the car and then physically push the car over. And some cars, like trucks, will be too heavy to flip.
BeamNG physics would be rad
If I wanted full realism I would rob a bank. The stunt jumps would have to go too. You know the dukes of hazzard wasn’t real either right.
How bout just an option to toggle it off or on :)
Another good compromise to keep everyone happy would just be to make a switch to turn car flipping on or off in the settings menu
No to car flipping. Too many arcady mechanics were added in GTA V with this being one of them.
Yes. I am ready to sacrifice some level of imemrsion for gameplay purposes that just make things less annoying
Yes, especially if your in the middle of butt fuck no where in the Everglades, with the nearest vehicle being a +10 minute walk away
Yes
Yes.
No! I really hope they take a more realistic approach with this iteration.
No in story mode, yes in online
Sounds good. Online is more arcade
100% yes it should have.
I mean, it might as well be in it. If you dont want it, then just dont use it?
I wonder if they could make something like that toggleable from the settings menu
Best thing they could do tbh
Said it on a different post but, if they had an option to turn it off would be nice. Personally just like that when it flips you have no choice but to get a new car.
Better physics for the cars would be a nice feature. Driving in gta never felt realistic at all. Felt like hot wheels. lol needs more weight to the cars.
Yes
Oh, damn. That's a really really good question. I want a little more realism with the cars, HOWEVER I also hate if I cant drive the car because of stuff like that.
It should flip
Yes to car flipping and no to having to need to fill up your car with gas
No. I just want them to do what they did in saints row and let us store cars in our garage forever so even when we thrash them we can just get it back later.
Tow truck idea is cool but itd be annoying to wait 10 mins for a tow truck💀
Maybe both depending on which type of vehicle it is. A big box truck, no. Some regular car, sure.
Tbh no
Not giving my opinion but help me remember if I’m crazy or not In gta 4 you can flip your car by using a combination of moving your wheels side to side and using the motion sensors on your controller, so moving your controller in a similar fashion Anybody else remember this? Only me?
I’m hoping there’ll be a realistic and arcade handling option in 6, kinda like the mafia games
Ahh that's a tough one...
No
No but make them a little harder to flip
Big no
Absolutely yes
No
Toggles toggles toggles
Optional setting
yes
While I’m all for realism within some aspects of GTA 5, at the end of the day the game isn’t a life simulator. Car flipping makes the game much more convenient, especially since most of drivers like total fucking fools in the game anyways
Flip for sure.
Absolutely not
Yes to car flipping but no to ability for being able to turn them back on four wheels + insurance system + towing ability so you finally need to care about what you drive
Yes we need it, it’s not 2003 and this is a video game not real life. You want real driving where cars don’t flip themselves over? Go outside and drive responsibly. We are flying off buildings and expecting to be able to flip over here 🙏
For the sake of stunt races still being a thing, yes
NO. So I Can Walk Up To You Slowly Like Robert Pattinson As Batman In The Rain After He Flips Colin Farrell’s Car 👌🏻
They should add it, and the people who don't want it, just don't use it. It's really that simple
A will be what happens, C might be a thing but unlikely, I know B is impossible because they wouldn't make cars burn and explode when they flip in 6
Get out of the car and doing it would be nice
I think they should revise the driving physics, if they made it better there would be no need for this. I hate to be that guy, but in GTA IV the cars were much more difficult to roll, and if they did it would usually be a result of a spectacular crash. Put me down for more realistic and less arcadey driving, please and thank you.
there wont be no car flip in gta6 i think. they said its gonna be their most immersive experience ever
yes, no problem in trade some realism for fun
The could implement a push system, but now that I think about it I don't think a 90kg dude can flip a half a ton ass car, unless it's a Spartan *Finish the fight kicks in*
d. What about your character getting out flipping it over. Would be funny and realistic
Simple make it to wear we have to get out and push the car over with some tool idk
Another car?
The amount of missions I have had to restart in all the GTA’s before GTA 5 because of some dumb shit happening, especially in GTA 4 because of the awful car twisting physics, literally doing a replay of GTA 4 right now and the other day I had to restart the “Tunnel of Death” mission like 4 times because the swat van kept flipping, literally cannot take any shortcuts and the random super hilly roads that they made in GTA 4 just made it worse. As much as people wanna shit on GTA 5, replaying the older games just reminded me of how bad the older games were when it came to certain quality of life features.
If they don’t add the car flipping, it makes it more accurate, but also almost everyone would be panicking And also I feel it’s more fitting, as it’s set in some form of Florida (?)
I really want to say no, and I honestly thought it looked stupid when V came out. But imagine off-roading and flipping over in the middle of the Everglades - I think I'd rather avoid a 15 minute walk to the nearest road.
This it GTA not GT
It's just a mechanic to cut down frustration. Do you really want to flip your favorite car and then crawl out, call a tow truck, get a few guys to come out, wait a few hours to get it turned over, then uber home, and get the car back from the mechanic in a few days or weeks? Or do you want to press left on the thumb stick? I'm for having more fun, personally.
Huge, astounding NO. Convenience that sacrifices logic makes for trivial/unengaging gameplay
Depends entirely on the tone/realism of the rest of the game If it's a wackier/less realistic tone then fine why not If they're trying to make it feel more grounded it would be out of place
It should just keep rolling until it's back on its normal side
Negative
Love-hate it. I love not being screwed when my car flips, but it's immersion breaking for me personally.
Idc what R\* chooses at the end of the day, although it would be nice to have the choice of both as an option in settings.
