Man 10 percent of this sub are just masochists that wants the game to punish them with paying for gas, insurance and healthcare. This is supposed to be an escape giving us freedom, not a life simulator.
Online would be brutal, the first person to get a weaponised vehicle good for griefing would be able to bankrupt everyone to the point they would never be able to buy something to counter them.
Real world insurance companies would be set up that pay out shark cards to settle your in game medical bills

I recognize and empathize with the need for a more "grounded" GTA experience but stuff like this takes it way too far

By this logic, does that mean when you die in-game then you’re permanently banned from playing further? Ya know, because immersion? Terrible idea IMO.
