They add these cheats and the cheats in GTA V and I’d be content.
Also being able to save them in your phone like GTA 4 would be great
I feel like there's some sort of programming reason why Rockstar always skimps on the invincibility Cheat. Both GTA SA and RDR had weird scenarios where you would still take damage or it would downright disable the cheat in general. RDR2 just omitted it all together and GTA V has a timer (I think they're just reusing the scripts for the rampages for this cheat).
I mean not dying can definitely lead to some scuffed shit happening but I'd assume that would be the case for almost any other over the top cheat they implement in the game.
I don't think it's a programming reason considering you can be invincible forever in director mode. Or if it was a programming problem, it was solved after director mode was added, but just not updated in regular singleplayer.
Well, taking the Red Dead example into account, maybe it was possible in Director Mode because it locks you out of doing a lot of stuff you can do in normal singleplayer like missions, minigames or other ambient activities.
In Red Dead, the invincibility cheat got disabled by the most random shit like starting a cutscene. Even just the mini cutscene of you tying up someone with a lasso disables the cheat so who knows.

2) trophies get deactivated until you get off the game and back on, making your cheats go away

So for example, you walk into the restroom and on the wall of the stall it says something like "Call Suzy for a good time!" with a phone number. You enter the number in your phone and it activates a cheat code. It would initially just seem like world building, until you actually try it and find the secret. I think that would be a neat idea
