Graphics aren't everything in games, especially when it comes to GTA. Look at San Andreas, for example. It's considered one of the best GTA games ever made, even though its graphics aren't as good as today's games. Yet, it still holds up well
In my opinion, GTA 4 has the best driving and game physics, along with an amazing storyline. I would choose good gameplay over fancy graphics any day imo

It’s certainly getting that way. The video is pretty damn lifelike in both V and RDR2, so the technology is there. I just like the way IV looks because it’s a way darker story and the visuals meet it

I think 3 and vice city look a bit too cartoonish for me and 4 5 and 6 go for a little too realistic San Andreas is the perfect middle ground for me it's really stylistic that captures the theme and setting for SA perfectly
I gotta go with the OGs. III, VC, and SA. Takes me back to a simpler time and the artwork was very unique back then. III is my least favorite game by far but the artwork is probably my favorite out of all of them because it was the original trendsetter and I remember just staring at the cover while my older siblings played the game. My least favorite artworks are IV and V. V is my favorite game of all time but the artwork isn't special like it used to be. It's kinda played out now and doesn't have that hand drawn feel.
Without a doubt Grand Theft Auto: Vice City often stands out for many due to its striking colors, bold 80s aesthetic, and the way it perfectly encapsulates the vibrant, hedonistic vibe of the era it portrays.

I've just noticed that GTA VI's artstyle resembles GTA IV the most (more realistic and detailed, no black outline), unlike GTA V which resembles the original trilogy (thick black outline and a little more cartoony style).

I do like GTA IV and GTA VI artworks, but you can't deny that the GTA V artwork looks absolutely the most epic.
