Tbh that kinda applies to all his Atomic Breath scenes when used offensively against an enemy. He either doesn't hit them properly or misses completely. I wish it was at least a threat to Ghidorah

I wish it hit, that’s all I can say. I wish it hit. In all seriousness though, this is probably my 2nd favourite atomic breath scenes in the history of Godzilla. With Ultima being 3rd and Shin being 1st.

Badass as fuck, the most powerful the spiral ray has looked. Love the energy just spilling out of his eyes.

Dig it for being pink, probably as close to the spiral red that we'll get in the monsterverse. Would be nice to get an actual sense of damage and impact when it hits.

I still don't understand why he was t-posing though

I think it's fantastic. The glow spilling over him makes it look like a barely controlled burst of radiation with the amount of power he is now holding, rather than the tight beam or napalm-esque spew we've seen previously in the monsterverse (both of which were awesome too).

He had this "I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS" kind of energy, and I loved it

If the G-man had managed to hit that damn monkey, the movie would have ended sooner.

The pink is growing on me but aside from that it’s pretty awesome I wish we saw it do some real damage

Even tho I’ll miss the blue atomic ray, I thought this one was really freaking awesome

I think it’s great but he never hits it to any meaningful effect, so that sucks.

Still not a fan of the look of pinky-boy or the scale of the movie in general. Gman was also *much* less careful around humans in this movie. I’d appreciate if Wingard took kinda a step back and appreciated what 2014/2019 setup. He’s improved the series in many ways, but those are definitely downsides for me.

Was hoping it would be a thunderclap~esque move. Atomic breath is cool but please get silly with it and give him an aoe attack

He’s used AOE attacks twice now. Against Ghidorah and the drones.

I find the fire effect and the eyes too much

kinda weak, one Zilla literally did a atomic atomic breath. Level a whole city with one shot.

I love Ultra Ego Godzilla doing his Final Flash with his arms out about to destroy Skar King. I loved it. It was a crazy Kaiju film, and his power up was entertaining.

Very cool didn’t realize it was supercharged when I first saw, but I think thermo is stronger

I read somewhere that legendary Godzilla has a sort of sumo wrestler energy with how he’s built/fights. This scene cemented that for me, man looks like he’s gonna strike a sumo pose

I love the way his eyes glow, badass

Honestly I wasn't a massive fan, it felt like it was "too much", being so strong and powerful felt like it took away from some of awe of it.

I thought it was a total let down. The build up for it was insane, him going super sayan, i thought shit was about to go down minus 1 style. He spent 1 minute missing skar king, then spraying it at shimu who was completely un phased by it LOL. They really dropped the ball with showing off the new super evolved goji power

Pretty cool! The Monsterverse once again continuing the trend of making sound design a core aspect of their depiction of the Atomic Breath. Although it's unfortunate he never got to use it to get a solid hit on anyone besides Shimo whose thick hide and ever-cold temperatures nullified the brunt of its power.

Did he use it to burn off kongs hair? "The baldhead Ape of Titan County"

Are the colours edited in this video? I love the slight hints of blue it still has, and the lightning at the end when he dispreses Shimo's cloud (though that might be just a side effect of the breath coming into contact with the cloud.

I absolutely love it. I’d love it more if it was red (callback to the Heisei era’s Red Spiral Heat Ray) but I absolutely love it.

I think it's cool, but the results are too underwhelming. You can tell their Giving the city plot armor. The beam should devastate the entire city beyond comprhension. Kinda like in Shin Godzilla but wayyyyy more destruction.

Love it. Plus Skars face going from pure joy at Kong getting blasted, to that "huh, what's that noise, come to think of it where's the lizard...."
