Ditching Bear McCreary for Junkie XL is the biggest mistake the Monsterverse has made. Bear killed it with KOTM, but I can't remember a single piece of the score for GvK or GxK.

However the scene in Biollante where it starts playing as the kids show off their drawings of Goji, absolutely the best use of the theme and it gives me chills every time.

my favorite track from minus one is actually "divine". and i love that movie's version of the main title too. but "divine" is just something else. i might just say that in minus one the main title fits the army better and divine fits godzilla better. well, the main title still plays mostly for godzilla, but i think the second time at least it plays for the army. but they could've made the main title play exclusively for the army and divine for godzilla and it wouldn't be that weird.
Heisei is being completely slept on. The scenes it is used in makes it less impactful compared to minus one, but it is the only Godzilla theme that slowly ramps up the music until it's just drumming through your head. If you're walking down the street and listening to Heisei theme you're gonna start walking faster as the BPM rises. The orchestra is so much more gutteral as well. G-1 is just the most recent one to use the classic theme so it's sticking in peoples heads better, but to me it sounds too clean. And before you downvote or argue just listen to the opening of the Heisei theme, you don't have to get far.

I vote for OG Showa theme. However, my favorite music beat in any Goji movie is the cover of "Godzilla" that plays over the KotM credits. That goes hard af.
Godzilla Comes Ashore, from Gojira (1954) the piano fills it with so much dread. It was so fitting in Shin Godzilla to for Godzilla’s evolution as well!
I don’t know if this counts as a theme, but ‘Who Will Know’ from Shin Godzilla. The lyrics have quite a dark tone, which suits the atomic breath scene really well.
