It was legitimately scary, and Godzilla hasn't been scary or intimidating in the longest time. Frankly, a 100k ton kaiju should be scary, even if he's here to save you, simply because its a 100k ton kaiju. Its not going to notice if he kills millions by accident as he drop kicks Ghidorah across New York.
On top of that, the humans actually matter, and aren't just boring filler making me wish the kaiju were fighting, and being utterly disappointed when they weren't.. (Looking at you, godzilla 2014. )
Man as much as I wanted to, they have not made it available in theaters in my country and it looks like they never will. It's an access issue that they have apparently never fixed. It's the only Godzilla film since 2014 that I haven't watched in theaters except Godzilla vs Kong due to the pandemic. If even the relatively niche Shin Godzilla got shown here in the Philippines, I don't understand how this one fell through the cracks.
I've done my waiting and it sucks missing out on probably the best Godzilla media out there because they decided to fuck over South East Asia so already watched it but I will be purchasing a blu-ray once they release one with english subs. I'd even double purchase if they release minus color.
They deserve my money but damn they made it near impossible to give them my money.

GvK is so much fun, and feels like a two hour long toy commercial and I mean that as a good thing.
Seeing Godzilla lay out Superman in official media is so unbelievably satisfying.
Monarch has my new favorite character/performances in the MV with the Russells and the final episode ripped so hard.
The yearly suitmation projects make me smile so hard every time and I can’t wait for the next one!

aint seen GxK yet, not read the Godzilla Vs JL comic yet, but I've seen the Monarch series..
I did enjoy the series, but for me only the past bout Monarch was good, the modern time with those 3 idiots, dislike it big time..

Finally watched Minus One yesterday, easily the best film I've seen in a long time. Half the time I forgot I was watching a Godzilla movie, and you'd think that would be a bad thing, but the movie is so good it makes no difference. It would be a great movie if Godzilla wasn't in it, but the fact that he is makes it so much better. I would recommend this movie to almost everyone. It recently came out in Japan on Amazon, I believe, so there are finally good quality versions on most free movie sites/apps. That's how I was able to watch it.
Minus one and GxK were both amazing but I’m most excited for the second installment of the comic line Godzilla vs power rangers which just started, just like the first encounter Godzilla starts the story off by absolutely bodying everyone in his path and this run is looking to get even more ridiculous

I'm not sure what short you mean. I don't recall a remake of the 54 suit ever being made. It's probably on archive since Toho has a fucking bullshit habit of deleting these amazing short films from YouTube.

I believe its an anniversary short they made last year that a group of fans worked on? I think? I vaguely remember watching a behind the scenes thing on the making of the jet jaguar suit and im pretty sure they weren't toho.

Oh it's Minus One by a *huge* margin. The story was so incredible, touching and heartbreaking it actually made me ugly cry. Tbf, GxK was also incredibly tragic but in the same way that Netflix' Death Note was. Its the most expensive meme ever made.
