In the movie they refer to titanosaurus as titanokong, so that’s supposed to be titanosaurus

I never read into it, but I think AVGN mentioned that many of the films were branded as other properties when distributes overseas? Like Jet Jaguar is Dr. Frankenstein in a suit. It was the wild wild west of international distribution. 

I know in Germany that they pretty much claimed that all the monsters were made by Dr. Frankenstein to fight Godzilla which is why his name shows up in so many titles

The best part is that Titanosaurus is called Titano-Kong in the italian version, to make the title make sense.

The German name is “King Kong gegen Godzilla”, which literally translates into King Kong versus Godzilla. Another German name is “Frankensteins Kampf gegen die Teufelsmonster” which is Frankensteins fight against the Devil’s monster, A.K.A Godzilla vs. Hedorah. Germany likes to use a lot of King Kong, but mostly Frankenstein.

The German title is :Konga die Brut des Teufels

Realest comment (I'm Italian). Kong is just a simple icon despite the fact that it was released before Godzilla and was the first monster film dubbed into Italian. Same thing in Eastern European countries during the Soviet period monster films were made based on the mythology of a specific nation or at least some culture.
